In mine I have a full size spare, tire plug kit, scissor jack, 1/2-inch drive 24-inch breaker bar with deepwell "impact" socket for lug nuts, tire pump, array of fuses (make sure the right type(s), fire extinguisher, large umbrella, and portable battery jump starter. When I go on a trip I add a small tool kit.
Don't think I can fit a "full size" spare in 265/35R20

Idk if it will fit, but I’m going to try to put my front 275/40r19 in the trunk šŸ˜‚. Not exactly an exact size as the rears but it’ll get the job done and get me home if need be.

Automotive Authority makes a spare tire that will fit the Ford mustang. You can get it as a kit with the spare tire jack. I have one of them in my car just in case.

My insurance covers tow and etc too. But I prefer to not have them tow, or put on a new wheel if I can šŸ˜‚
Believe it or not but a AAA subscription was cheaper than adding towing and road service through my insurance company. Of course we have 3 vehicles too.

Seriously, I keep a spare tire and jack. A battery booster box, a flashlight and a AAA card in my wallet.

Im not as young as I use to be and 150ft/lb gets tough to remove so I got one of these torque multipliers for removing lug nuts, smaller then a 4 way lug wrench,

also LED Hazerd flasher lights they also have flashlight built in
1755702535000-o9.webp

depending time of year and where you live gloves, packing blanket, serve to keep you warm in winter or to kneel on to change tire stones hurt old knees or have a look to see what you ran over, jump pack in case batter dies or someone else need a jump I dont like jumping someone from my battery, I use a battery compressor slower but more portable and mine keeps its charge for over a year.j ust in case severial extra lug nuts and make sure your jack works properly moost items will fit in with the spare tire, and I keep spare wiper blades cheaoer then replacing a scratched windshield in case your forget to check them , and your best buddies phone number to come help you.

I could use the torque multiplier with my spare. AAA card, cell phone, and my man purse as I call it (think mini bug out bag). I don't drive the Mustang below 50 degrees F, so the winter survival stuff isn't needed.

Okay, back in the 70's I was hanging out with my car buddies in the middle of a large park. One of the guys said wouldn't it be cool to have all the tools you would need to do a major repair on your car in your trunk. That way if you blew a head gasket, you could replace it right there. This is when the REAL mechanic in our group said, "Why? If it's a head gasket you can limp the car home to a garage. If you can't, you'll need a tow anyway, and all those tools and parts in your trunk is going to weigh your car down and hurt the performance". A bit of wisdom that keeps me from trying to stuff a house and garage in my trunk.

I keep a soft toolbag in the trunk like this, they always go on sale and you can get a few sizes

In my SUV I keep the big one, with a tow strap, big 1/2" ratchet, lugnut socket set, jumper cables, D rings, hitch...

In the Mustang I just keep a couple basic tools. Battery jumper pack, screwdrivers, small socket set, pliers, zip ties, honestly there's not a whole lot you're going to be able to do on the side of the road. Should keep a long 17mm and a spare serpentine/blower belt though.

Small bag of meds

1qt spare engine oil

I dont carry a lot of tools because if I have a mechanical, I’m going to need to replace a part I dont have anyway. I keep a standard toolbag in the daily driver truck for micellaneous non car related problems though.

As for fuses, havent had any fusebox problems so meh.

I do carry a small bag with spare wheel studs and lugs but I’ve never ever used it.

Someone left this in a trade-in, so my homegrown tech secured it for me. It has a velcro bottom so it um... doesn't fly around. I'm not sure about the shovel's purpose, but it's smaller than the entrenching tool I once had when I wore green for Uncle Sam...

Shovel doesn’t make too much sense where you’re at in the south, but up here there’s a good amount of folks (myself included at times) that throw a small shovel in the trunk. Comes in handy on big snow days, especially if parked in a parking lot all day. Or if the road gets slick and you end up on the side of the road in a bunch of snow. Seen more than a few people over the years need to dig out for such reasons.

It’s like 1.50 a month so I didn’t even look haha. Also on 3 vehicles.

Now you have me second guessing though so I’m going to go look šŸ˜‚

I do over kill. Jack, spare, and lug wrench. 2 average tool boxes that have 1/4"-1/2" and a bunch other things. No tractor tools. I don't want to list everything because it will get as long as Santa's naughty list. Some how there is still enough room for a 12" sub. I could not get a 15 to fit.
