It says 24 Nm on the cartridge thingy. Also there should be a mark on there from factory. I just line mine up now. First time I used a torque wrench and it matched up exactly with factory marks.
I haven't done it yet so I assume you stick a socket on this end? Do we know what size it is? Also, Matt... did you use a deep socket (obviously doesn't need one) but just wondering if I have to purchase another socket or if there is enough room to fit one in with the wrench.

@CNFLCTD dang Anthony, that sucks man. Are they all refinished? The color looks completely different (lighter), but could be the lighting in the pic with some of those colors.

I'd for sure only be using a 6-point socket on that cap nut.

I used a 27 mm socket with an extension. Wrench would be tough I think.

I use an SAE 1 1/16” 6 point socket.
The housing is plastic/nylon, I've seen 12 point sockets slip and round-off the hex end of these housings. Be sure and use a 6 point socket.

Had some extra vinyl from my stripe kit as I didn't wrap the wing. Continued the stripes up into the engine bay today. Perfect amount of vinyl for the strut brace and rad cover. Like it was meant to be. Rad cover is pretty hard to see unless the angle is right

Put in the hood strut kit too from redline. I think I'm gonna paint the brackets later to match the car. Have a rattle can of grabber blue touch up paint that is damn near perfect. But that's it for the day.

Next on the list is the shelby coolant tank, and a little engine bay dressup. All in good time.

Technically yesterday, but participated in Smoky
Mountain Drives "Dragon Rally VIII." 230 miles in Tennessee/Western Carolina - 6 hours of seat time. Had a blast - highly recommend!

The one he and I used is designed by Steeda. It's designed to fit the OEM strut nut as a way to guide the cut. Cutting oil is recommended to extend the life of the tool. Once you're done, you'll want to clean the edges and add touchup paint and clear if you got any. Clear isn't necessary tho.

I've seen various threads on here where M6G Members have used the Steeda strut tower tool with good results as in the above image.

My question is more geared towards having a finished look after using the tool AND properly sealing the circumference of the newly cut metal of the strut tower opening.

Has anyone thought of or has used the thin door edge guards to line the inner circumference to add a more finished look to the hole?

This is what I'm referencing:

If that product is applied to the edge of the hole, wouldn't the appearance be far better than just an open edge?

Drained the oil/air separator for the 1st time. About 42ml of oil pulled out with 3,200 miles on the odometer.

If it was adhesive then yes that would be a good idea although the OCD in me would notice the line that divides it. I think the OEM solution is to sand the edges which was done, repaint, and clear.
