What am I doing wrong?

I've wondered the same thing. I have a 3.55 A6, and even from a dead stop if I punch it I get no wheel spin. I am also running the DWS06's in 275/35/20. I also live at 4600 ft. elevation, so don't know if this is a contributing factor as well.

I was the same way until I put a Pedalmax on my car. The stock throttle delivery is very smooth, and not easy to get instant 100% throttle. Not that you want that really anyway. With the pedalmax, I can spin my tires now anytime I want, because it'll deliver 100% throttle with less than half the movement of the pedal.

I am actually amazed how composed the grip this car has. I mean I can press the throttle and it grabs and go. I guess it has something to do with the 3.15 rear I have on the automatic.

Has nothing to do with that gear on the auto. When my car was stock it would roast the tires in track mode.

Not that I "want" wheelspin, I'd like to know that things are moving like they should, though.

Would Normal or Sport mode have anything to do with it? Maybe you are stuck in wet/snow mode. :lol:

I've contacted Beefcake, so I should have one on the way. It will hold me over until Ford Performance comes out with the Track Key (if ever).

Tires are Conti DWS06's. Is it because of the throttle lag?

Anyone else experience this?

Sounds like some good rubber. All I do is spin with the stock tires.

DWS is one of the best all season tires but my old 530i would kick the back end loose with its 255 hp under that condition.

I can, and do, often. 1st and 2nd gear. I like to see the TC light flash. It might depend on the road surface. Concrete grips better than black top.

Base PP, no track mode. 30 degrees outside.

It may have to do with the throttle lag. Pedal max may be upcoming.

At that temp here in NY, I get nothing but wheel spin with the stock Pirelli's. Actually there is a noticeable difference in traction when the temperature drops below 50 degrees. Sounds like you're getting some good tractions with those DWS's...
