Chiming in as well on the excellent service. Ordered an RTD+ with credits and a flex tune on a Thursday, went out, overnight mind you, same day. It's all loaded up now and pulling a freight train...As much as a mild bolt on NA car can anyway.

Wengerd tuning on an RTD+ with an iPhone FTW!!
You can do it with your iPhone?

Yes and it’s awesome. Super easy. Log, send / receive files, flash, clear codes. The app does it all!

Drove the car around 30 miles. 15 miles on Sport mode and 15 miles on Track mode. It was a combination of highway and city. Like I said yesterday, the car feels and shift amazing.

On Track mode one thing I noticed is that the downshifts are less "brutal" You can still feel the "aggresiveness" downshifting but the car doesnt jerk around or throw you around in the seat. You can say that it is still "aggresive" enough to hear the beautiful music of the engine and the AWE catback but with more control of the car. Also the same applies while accelerating. You feel the "aggresiveness" accelerating but the car doesnt jump around while shifting. The car feels on rails. I like to drive on track mode but before the tuning the upshifting was too aggresive.

Now I can say this is the way the car was supposed to be from factory.

I'm just gonna go ahead and shout Daryle out a bit more. Filled out the contact form this morning just asking a couple questions - had both of them answered in a little over an hour. I've not bought anything from him yet, but I 100% will be based off this thread and today's experience.

Hello everyone, I'm new here and I wanted to share my experience with Daryl at Wengerd Performance, with anyone that might be interested in his tuning.
I own a 2020 GT500 that's been modded with headers, pulley, ID1050X injectors, 180° Thermostat, cold air intake and suspension stuff.

The person that installed all of my mods (not Daryl)also did the tuning and since he owns and races his heavily modded 2020 GT500 and works on quite a few other GT500s, I thought that his tuning would work out great.
Well, that couldn't be further from the truth.. As soon as i got my car back, i noticed a bad fluctuation between 1100 - 1300rpm and driving around slowly, like in parking lot, or by the beach the car would surge and buck, as if i was in a 6 speed and let the clutch out, without giving it gas. At normal speeds, say 50mph or so, i would get a pronounced clunk, every time i would let off the gas and then back on, it drove me crazy..
I contacted my tuner and expressed my concerns and he told me the issues that I was experiencing were normal, I put up with these issues for about 9 months.

Now, after 9 months of being disappointed I was going to put the car up for sale and focus on my Redeye and Turbo truck..

Then, after talking to some people about Wengerd Performance Tuning, I decided that I would give it a try and if it didn't work out, the car was gone.
Well, to sum up this overly long and convoluted review, after I loaded Daryl's tune via a RTD device the car runs great!! It drives like stock, but much better. The rpm surge is gone, the slow speed bucking is fixed and no more dct clunking, or strange noises.
I couldn't be happier with his tuning and his response time answering my almost never ending questions. Lol

If you're on the fence about Wengerd Performance, I'd say go for it!!

Who in the hell is tuning that would say this is normal!! That tuner needs his lap top smashed. You are in Florida ahh......let me guess who this tuner is. :cwl:
Wengerd is a force to be reckoned with in the Mustang community. Highly recommend.

LOL, yep you're right about that, his lap top is only the beginning.

I don't want to say who it was on a open forum and start a shit show, but he deserves it though. I was on the verge of selling the car, thinking it was the nature of the DCT, as that is what he was telling me..

Now I know better...

Wow.
If that is normal,.......I NEVER want an aftermarket tune!!! LOL
That's terrible. Glad your car is back to kicking ass!

Does the RTD marry itself to the car? If I have several cars can 1 RTD tune them all, assuming I buy the tune and license fee from you?

1 RTD can tune many vehicles. We just add more credits to your interface

Ok next question, Would I be locked to your tune shop?
Lets say I have a mustang that you tune and I also have a ram with the cummins and want a shop that specialises in cummins, would the one RTD be able to tune both. Assuming the ram tuner uses HP tuners.

Thank you very much, I appreciate the kind words...
You know, it's funny, that I've gone from never driving my car and listing it for sale, to only driving the GT500 and letting the others sit. Lol

Daryl's tune is that good...
