And Whipple's tune allows for cat-less headers. They just won't tune out the CEL.

All dynoes are different, some are generous and some are heart breakers. A true test of power is trap speeds.

Very, very true and I would not argue this. I was only showing him that the Whipple tune is putting down more dyno HP than any custom tune has put down on the dyno as far as I have seen. Im only talking about pump gas dyno, not e85 or higher than 93 octane.

Negative, just load and go is all we did. We both have the new launch control feature which is all we meddle with.
Tell me more about the new launch control feature ?

I am also confused about this "launch control". Are we talking about just turning boost down in 1st gear, is that what you mean by launch control? As i have never seen a specific feature, directly, for launch control.

Sorry guys I just realized I typed launch control when meant to write "Flight Control" so this is where the confusion lies. Sorry :frusty: I have edited my post.

Yea I was wondering if whipple had a 2step feature that didnt take power to get the car to launch right , which would be cool, but guess we need to set it up like lethal performance has their car set up for the track

If using at the track I never got the same number as leaving with everything turned off, and this was with stock power and stock pzero tires, so Im sure it takes out power

I did try the Whipple tune today. Drove really good, and really stayed out of boost until you laid into it. I was impressed with the tune. I will have to see what it is like when my tune is finished to compare. That suspected vacuum leak made Ken change things to try to compensate before we knew what was going on. So once it was ok, we kind of had to start over. I can't wait to see how it is when it is done. Only comment I can sincerely make is that everyone claiming the Centri drives normal until you want it not to, I think the Whipple tune is exactly that also. The car cannot drive more stock than that tune does. Other than the sound, you would have NO clue the car is supercharged unless you really got into the throttle. I'd be totally comfortable with my wife driving the car (not that she will be). That part amazed me as when my Challenger SRT8 was supercharged, you would end up pointed in the opposite direction very easily, and not always intentionally.

Bro, I try to tell everyone the same thing. You can't tell that my car is SC when just driving like a normal person lol. Feels like stock until you floor it lol.

So you still have no clue what the issue was that caused this? Is the car running perfect now with the Whipple calibration, or are there still drivability issues? Looking forward to hear your comparison of the 2 calibrations.

I honestly believe, thanks to your instructions for me to disassemble, and reassemble, something was fixed during that. I went over every single thing you mentioned by taking it all apart. Nothing stood out to me, but from there, I drove to the mechanic for smoke test (just 3 miles), and logged on the way. Idles was smoother. Tune needed work, but it was different for sure (not great cause all the tweaks ken did prior to try to compensate for a problem that was not obvious). Ken seen that log and said things looked much different than prior logs. Then smoke test found no issues. I am convinced taking it apart and putting it back together fixed a leak somewhere.

So now the Whipple tune drove perfect, and Ken's 2nd tune he sent me was 100x better than the previous one. Again, I will likely get three more revisions before we are done, then do a fair comparison. I do plan on dynoing both tunes at the same time on same dyno at some point. I know Dyno isn't everything, but I will include how I feel driving the car also. I am not a guy who will be partial. I have no affiliation with neither. I will give how I truly feel. I spent thousands on an SC, exhaust etc., and 500 for a tune. I would have no issue whatsoever with forgetting the 500. If in the end I like the Whipple tune better, I will have no issue using it. If Ken's drives just as good or better, and has more power, and no CEL (I know I can fix that with foulers), I would use that as those are the reasons I went custom to begin with. Thanks again for your help!
