Someone needs to place one of these vehicle on a chassis dyno and see if some problem area or explanation shows up that way?!

Now this is an excellent idea!...Or else some one has to start writing to Motor Trend, AutoWeek and Car & Driver about these vibration issues.
Didn't Juben and Blacklaw have a crap ton of other parts thrown at their cars before Ford gave in and replaced the differential? How hard is it to analyze the failed differentials from at least these two cars and get a starting point for further analysis. Even better - how about a note to the dealership service departments saying that they are looking into these reports? A little communication goes a long way here.
Yup...the car that has "nothing" wrong with it is getting replaced! :clap2:Guio - no need be nervous about the hearing..it's a piece o' cake. My hearing also had the Ford rep calling in by phone. I was curious about who would be representing Ford..would it be an engineer or a corporate attorney??? Turns out it was neither...it sounded like a administrative assistant, to be honest. She had no technical knowledge whatsoever, and it sounded like she read all of her comments and responses right off of a script! Thanks for the info, Blacklaw. I have all of that, plus a lengthy "Timeline" that I wrote some time ago. The arbitration hearing is on early September, but the manufacturer representative won't be there in person (not sure if that's a good thing). I'm excited, but nervous![]()
Congrats on your success!***ARBITRATION UPDATE***
I just received word today that BBB arbitrator has ruled in my favor, and has ordered Ford to replace my vehicle.Yup...the car that has "nothing" wrong with it is getting replaced! :clap2:
Unfortunately, it won't be a as simple as just slapping my old plates on a new Mustang and driving off; they will be deducting some money for the miles I put on the car up until the date of the arbitration. I will have to get more specific details on how the final transaction will work before I accept the settlement. I would hate to accept it and then find out that it's going to cost me a wad o' dough to make it happen.
I hope the rest of the process goes pretty quickly; I found the exact car that I want sitting on a dealer's lot 8 hours away from where I live...ROAD TRIP! It will probably get snapped up before all of the arrangements are finalized, but I can dream...
So...if you are another one of those unlucky beta-testers like me, don't despair! I strongly encourage you to file a claim with the BBB if Ford gives you the run-around on getting your car fixed. It is very easy to do, as long as you can be patient. The time between filing my claim to getting a ruling from the arbitrator was about 3 months. I also had to take a morning off of work to present my case at the hearing, but it was well worth it to receive a favorable ruling.
Here is the link you will need to get the ball rolling:
https://www.bbb.org/council/programs-services/dispute-handling-and-resolution/bbb-auto-line/
They will guide you through the whole process step by step, and a representative will be assigned to you that will promptly answer any questions you may have.
Do it! you have nothing to lose! And remember...if enough people file claims about the same problems, it may encourage Ford to issue TSBs to get these problems fixed.
I sincerely hope that all of you out there that are having problems with your Mustangs are able to get them solved one way or another!
Thanks billq! Fingers crossed for you; I hope that is the solution!Congrats on your success!
My app't with Ford engineer today was cancelled to be replaced by a straight... "We're going to put a new rear end in." The order s/b in next week some time. This should tell the tale, one way or the other.
