I truly hope this cures the issue on the car. The other day my wife mentioned that the vibration was annoying. This from the woman that call me crazy for calling out ANY dash rattles or tire vibrations in the car because she never notices them. I have to drive her car every couple of weeks just to make sure nothing is going wrong because she just does not pay attention to it.
I do too. This is the third week of the car being there just on this visit alone. As before, I'll make sure to keep everyone updated.

I believe you will be eligible for a new car under the lemon law if they have it for 30 days.

Today makes 19 days total (3 business weeks). In Virginia, I think the car has to have been at the dealership three times without the problem being resolved to apply for lemon law.

Oops...my bad. In TN it's 3 visits or 30 calendar days. I was thinking it was similar elsewhere.

No, my bad. I had glanced over it a while back, but didn't completely read it. If you've been in three times with the same problem(s) with unsuccessful repairs, had a major safety issue unsuccessfully repaired once, or it's been in over thirty days, then I could file for lemon law.

It looks like they make a bunch of hoops to jump through though.

Lawyers can expedite if it comes to that. Ford doesn't want to pay legal fees on top of everything else. Whatever happens, I hope you get back on the road soon!!

Has anybody's dealer found a cure yet?

I am taking my baby in today for the dealership's head mechanic to take a look at it. If anyone has had success, then please advise.

I feel for you. I started noticing it around the 500-600 mile marker.

I wish there was a website or thread where we could submit these. Hilariously bad grammar and service reports go hand in hand.

All...my new driveshaft is to arrive Tuesday so will take several days to install and test drive. Should know something by Thursday or Friday.

Juben,

Has there been any progress on the diff replacement? Just got a call that my new driveshaft is in, but if the diff is the fix, I want to wait and get the right parts replaced.

Absolutely none. They called last Tuesday and said that Ford was shipping the parts, but I've heard nothing. It's still sitting in the exact same place that it has been since March 31st (the day after I took it in).

Just talked with my dealer and my new driveshaft is on backorder so it looks like a few are being replaced. I talked with them about waiting to see what happens with the diff replacement but they want to replace the shaft and see what happens. Oh well, it's their dime I guess, but it just seems wasteful to not drill down for root cause before acting.

Curt...Quite coincidentally the UPS truck just pulled up with my DSS. I shall soon know if it fits this time. The horse is sitting on the hoist waiting for it! But with weather we have today and schedule next few days will have to wait to drive it...guess lock-tight will have time to set! Dave
