The center of the driveshaft run out was 0.62" ... ?? :eyebulge:
Yep, stock from the factory. I can only imagine what they put in it now.

Update:
About to go pick up my car, they say the engineer was able to get 80% of the vibration gone.
Ford is tracking a repair and waiting on parts. Supposed to consist of a new pinion flange and other parts to correct the issue.
Repair should be available within 4-6 weeks.
But it is ready for now.

They told me to bring it back to fix it 100%, they want to tackle this thing to prepare for the others that are coming in; they just one another come in for the same vibration issue today.

Single hose clamp solved my BAD vibration issues. Balanced it on the car myself on stands. Its not the rear or the pinion flange... Ford now has a TSB for the ds vibration.
They were about to replace my rear.. after the ds replacement did not fix it completely. The rear is waiting at the dealer lol.

Well, my problem is maybe 50% better, NO change over 80mph; it still hums it's a$$ off.
But 50-70 is halfway better but still worse than it was ORIGINALLY.
Paperwork and dealer states the FSE balanced both halves of the new driveshaft. Vibration verified still. Ford Engineering team working on permanent solution.

Im assuming maybe a new pinion flange and/or rear diff is in the works next...

My dealer has been more than helpful and straight up honest, they said this is temp and are working on a permanent solution. So at least they are not saying this is "all they can do".

Spoke to Ford, and now they are reviewing my case to see if I qualify for a buy back.

I just might go back to the SS again man, it was bullet proof reliable and I already know every inch of it.
I really like this Mustang and it's a shame Ford cant fix it. Im hoping they come through.

I was in the same boat - loved the car, styling, power. Hated the crappy build quality, Ford's inability to fix the issues, total lack of communication from the dealer, no respect for the car or the customer.

In the end, felt I was just seeing the tip of the iceberg and got soured on the whole experience.

UPDATE:
"This is alex from sellers on the mustang we are ordering a new rear differential and both rear half shafts."

Going to change out the rear diff and half shafts under warranty.

Good news at least !

sounds like they are throwing parts at it ...

So here's the question you ask:
Why is the diff and half shafts being replaced? Meaning what is broke??

Process of elimination, the driveshaft has been replaced 3 times and is balanced by an FSE.
Next is rear diff/pinion flange and half shafts.

If that doesn't work, next would be input shaft on the transmission. Based off their guidance from others' experience with dealer's repairs.

Btw, my car is at its 3rd Dealership now.
