You're kidding right? If you need to feel better about yourself, why not ask Ford to personally send you a video showing why they authorized the 12-8-14 TSB then? How about posting a video to prove what you are saying?
As I said, perhaps the noise is coming from the AC components.... in that case sure, it makes sense.
I suppose FoMoCo, LMR, and Tasca all sell this Ford OEM kit for the same engine, for the exact same reason in their description, just to scam people out of money? Alrighty then.
I'm not a child. I don't have any narcissistic desire to post online videos.
If you don't want to believe me, that's fine. However, I'm not going to waste my time with this, nor take time to post all this, if it was some kind of scam or personal placebo effect.
I'm telling you what I did, and telling you the result. If you don't want to believe it, that's your own personal issue to deal with.
And I'm telling you, this tick, which I think is actually piston slap is not coming from the A/C components. When I added 1/2 bottle of Ceratec, it subdued the ticking a noticeable amount, but fo course just covered up some of the noise from the piston slap. What really made a noticeable difference is adding a tension arm to the A/C compressor to help even out the tension placed on the crankshaft. That's the only explanation after knowing this noise is INTERNAL to the engine, and not from an auxiliary component.
