So I’ve had a Plethora or issues past month. So far have had my ac compressor, water pump, ac lines, and heater hoses, along with some other hoses and belts replaced.
Still looks like my vehicle isn’t necessarily overheating, but the temp gauges keep climbing. Picture is after 45 mins of easy driving. Have white exhaust smoke coming from rear end heavier then usual, they’ve done many tests to rule out a blown head gasket. They previously thought it was heater hose leaking on the exhaust, causing the smoke, but it’s still very much present

at this point jus looking for some help on what to tell the dealer ? Last mechanic was stumped, so I’m taking it to get some new eyes on it.

normal operating temps are 185-220F at the cylinder head (usually 10* hotter than actual coolant temp).

it can reach 225-230F if youre pushing it, once u get to 230+ thats when it may start overheating. check the analog gauge at that point.

if the exhaust is smoking white and smells...sweet...ure burning coolant.

What's overheated, transmission? Everything looks normal. My F150 normal trans temp is 200F.
That why I was asking, typically my car was running at 170, now it’s running higher and keeps climbing

Thank you! Mechanic has had my car like 2eeeks out of three. He says they’ve done all the tests and I’m not burning coolant, but I obv am. I just asked cause I was running 185 for the longest and just recently of the best isn’t on it jumps to 220

Is the white smoke actually from the exhaust or just coming out the back of your car??

When is the white exhaust present and what is the outside air temp when you’re seeing the white exhaust smoke?

Also temps will spike when car is sitting in traffic or when going low speed, or if the electrical fans are not kicking on at their programmed temps. The temps you’re seeing, as others have stated is in the normal range.

Sounds like whoever is diagnosing the problem is throwing parts at the car without really knowing what they are doing. If it’s at a Ford Service Center, go find another.

If you think it's your coolant being burned, you should see the coolant level going down over time. Is it?
