Tune question

I thought the amp sensor was on the center positive terminal in the fuse box.

If you look at that wire it runs through a loop that looks like an am-meter shunt.

This is right out of Ford instructions
Module Programming 1. Connect a battery charger to the 12V battery. NOTE: Verify that the negative cable of the charger is installed on a chassis or engine ground, and not the 12 volt battery negative terminal to prevent the battery saver mode from activating on the vehicle. NOTE: If the diagnostic software does not load or if the vehicle cannot be identified properly, make sure there is a good internet connection and the Vehicle Communication Module (VCM II) is properly connected to the Data Link Connector (DLC). NOTE: Make sure the Ford Diagnostic and Repair System (FDRS) does not enter sleep mode during module programming.

I did kill the batter twice and it started up 30 minutes later. I did a reset last night. I will get a better charger to make sure its good the next time per Palm Beach.
I did not see a maintainer under 60$ at Adv. Auto. I will check Loes.

Now if only ford can tell me why my wifes 2020 Explorer ST keeps going into deep sleep..

This is basically saying to connect positive to batter and negative to chassis frame?

There are a couple of things that can cause this . 1 the battery it self maybe weak , 2 battery drain . If the battery was also replaced recently was the proper procedure followed to perform a bms reset for the bcm . A weak battery will cause the bcm to go into deep sleep mode if load shed exceeds what the bcm thinks the battery state of charge is . I.E. if battery was replaced with no bms reset . Also not there is a tsb , production date specific, for battery drain issues . Repair involves reprogramming of the tcu , bcm , and I think the IPC . Please not if this thing is going into deep sleep mode after a week or so , the system is working as designed. If shorter then that there is an issue . Sorry to be long winded on this .

Leave the positive cable hooked up to the battery. Attach the chargers positive cable to the battery cable and the negative cable to a chassis ground, the one on the drivers side shock tower will work.

Got in the mail yesterday and charged 4 hours today. Never read fully charged. Shouldn’t take that long imo.
going to see if I can load tune now.

Finally got the tune done. It was a pain due to never doing one. Some observations.
For some reason I can’t use my mode anymore. The shifts are much more smoother and the sound is very even.
I’m not sure I feel the extra power yet. Added JLT too.
the biggest negative is it’s quieter now. It advertised as different, but I’m not sure I like it.
I will see as time goes.
