Hi,
I was wondering what kind of tune to use on a track car? I have added a Roush air box and removed the resonator, other than that the motor is stock, no tune yet.
Most of the tunes I have been looking at are for 1/4 mile stuff, so I was just wondering what you use.
I do not drive my car on the street, just track days and love mixing it up with with cars that are much faster then I am.
Any information would be great appreciated.

Really ? All the tunes out there are street tunes. A tune is a tune. Don't matter if it's street, track, 1/4 mile, 1/2 mile, or Nurburgring. IF anything they may tweak your 10R80.

No track tune, what you need are better suspension, brakes pads, camber plates, wider and better wheels and tires, racing seat, racing harness, oil separator on both sides and remember to completely turn off. The traction/stability control

Hi Luc,
I do not have the Racing Seat, But I do have all the other you listed.
I am looking for a tune, Everyone states they have the best tune for the 2018, just would like to see what other people think.

Great. The racing seat will allow to be a better and faster driver because you will not be moving around and having to brace yourself and therefore you Will get a much better feel for the car

If e85 is available in your area then tuning for it would be the best bang for your buck in terms of power and cooling.

If you want the closest to stock feeling/driving tune, you can't beat the Ford Performance Pack especially for the A10.

If you want the fastest/most power, Lund or Palm Beach Dyno are usually the best bets.

Although for extended track use, you really don't want a tune on the ragged edge for power. You need something safe, reliable and easy to drive. I am very happy with the Ford tune for track and street use, really wakes up the A10.

I don't have any personal experience with them, but this might be an area Steeda might be worth looking at.

I'll second a steeda tune, they do lots of road course testing.

Interested in this also, I've been fighting to keep my A10 GT cool on the track and that's with the stock tune. From my experience paddle shifting the the A10 was the best way to go on the track so I don't know how much the FP tune will help there. Went e85 on my last 2 cars and the power/cooling benefits were amazing...but man did I go through a TON of e85.

I've used AED Shaun Perry since 2017. Told him prior to flex fuel remote tuning that the intended purpose was road course use. I believe there's a difference versus a typical street/drag tune. The difference has to do with dumping more fuel to help with cooling, as well as enabling some sort of stability control with road course tunes versus drag. My car has been running strong ever since. No issues.

Hi Twizzy,
Sorry it took so long to get back to you.
I had the same issues with my A10 as you are having, overheating.
I made a trans cooler set up that you can see the below link.

https://www.mustang6g.com/forums/conversations/trans-cooler-setup.576744/#convMessage-775288

After doing the above mod I no longer have any issues with my A10 overheating,
The only thing I have to complain about is, it is to much FUN... LoL...
Well I'm always down for to much fun! :)

The link didn't work for me, do you mind posting it again as I'm interested.
