On anything 2010 +, they are only valve stem sensors

Old tires must be deflated. The sensors are part of the air valve and must be removed. So I have zero experience with TPMS and this may seem like a dumb question, but how do you install these? I want to re-use the ones from my stock tires but I was wondering if my rims need to be dismounted in order to get the sensors off the stock tires. Can anyone throw me a bone here and help me out? Thanks.
I was told that you can deflate & then just sort of push the tire out of the way in the area of the air valve rather than needing to pull the tires clear off. Might save a smidge on labor & wear & tear.Old tires must be deflated. The sensors are part of the air valve and must be removed.
Yes that is what the shop did to transfer over my TPMS without removing the tire. Really was simple and quick and no extra chargeI was told that you can deflate & then just sort of push the tire out of the way in the area of the air valve rather than needing to pull the tires clear off.
