  1. 2015, worry about software update?

Success finally. Started here https://owner.ford.com/tools/account/how-tos/keep-your-sync-up-to-date.html . When the file download finished I caught the .zip file before the website automatically unzipped it. I proceeded with the .zip file per the website instructions. For the in car stuff I...
  2. 2015, worry about software update?

Well , 2 years later I still can not update the software in my 2015 Mustang, tried going through the Ford help guy on twitter & he ended up not knowing anything. Am getting a weird glitch with a "Key battery low" message that will not reset (it ain't the key and it ain't the battery) so I...
  3. Key battery low message won't go away

2015 GT. Key battery apparently got low & I got the "key battery low error message". Replaced batteries twice on that key as well as have tried the other key, message still comes back whenever I stop or start the car. Anyone know how to kill the error message? Have not yet disconnected main car...
  4. 2020 GT500 Mustang Caught Testing Uncovered For The First Time

I must be too old. My 2015 with performance package & angry sounding exhaust & MGW shifter seems like it will give exactly the same thrills that one will, if I was running one at a track instead of on public roads it would be different.
  5. 2015, worry about software update?

Thanks! Can't find any indication that I'm missing out on much, think I'm going to go with - it works so do not mess with it.
  6. 2015, worry about software update?

Have a 15 PP without all of the fancy synch stuff, the Ford website tells me that there is a software update for it. Tried what I could think of to make the update work according to Ford website info & nothing happened. Is there anything to 15 updates that makes them worth fretting about?
  7. intermittent check engine light & dealer can't find problem

:) I would not bet a lot on it, but as I remember, the air/fuel ratio display had a lot more noise in it before the problem was fixed. I think if I had compared that display to normal I would have seen a difference. Now at steady speed in top gear the ratio moves from 13.8 to 14.2 (+ -) ...
  8. intermittent check engine light & dealer can't find problem

Looks like this one can be put to bed. Per conversation with my persistent and professional Ford dealership "runner inside the intake port was flopping around loose, and if it was right then it should not be visible in this picture". Thanks to this forum for help with the issue!!!
  9. intermittent check engine light & dealer can't find problem

Very much appreciated!!!!! Forums are truly great sometimes.
  10. intermittent check engine light & dealer can't find problem

Car is going back to the dealer - am going to forward dev1360's tip "A bunch of guys are having this exact same issue. It's turning out to be cracked manifold runners or IMRC valves broken." . Otherwise no updates.
  11. intermittent check engine light & dealer can't find problem

In case anyone cares, the saga with my car continues. The dealer had it for a little over a week and thought they might have found the issue. After about 1 tank worth of driving the problem is back. Will get it back to the dealer but am getting a bit desperate to get the problem fixed before...
  12. intermittent check engine light & dealer can't find problem

This is turning into a saga. Took car back to dealer today, the cel was on this time, mechanic reported that each cylinder on the right had several indicated misfires on the computer. Car is still not showing any issues and the mechanic did not know what to do. Mechanic said that Ford has a...
  13. MGW RAISES THE BAR ONCE AGAIN....

And if you are an old fart do not do it while laying on the concrete drive in the winter. I know this. Got er done though.
  14. intermittent check engine light & dealer can't find problem

So I ran by auto zone today while the cel light was on. Error codes are: P0300 Random misfire detected P0308 Cylinder number 8 misfire detected Their most likely solution is: "Replace crankshaft position sensor (CKP) o-ring. Part cost would be $29.99, not sure how much labor would be...
  15. intermittent check engine light & dealer can't find problem

That is what I thought. The mechanic could not find anything recent, he said there was a code that had popped up when the car had about 80 miles on it. No worries, I will pursue one of the excellent suggestions above with the cel on.
  16. intermittent check engine light & dealer can't find problem

That makes a great deal of sense, didn't know auto zone would do that.
  17. intermittent check engine light & dealer can't find problem

Have 25,000 miles on my GT PP. It is stock except for Ford Racing cat back and MGW shifter. Starting a few months back the cel will come on for a a few days and then go off for a few days for no apparent reason. The car has always ran great. Took it to the dealer and they could not find...
  18. Jacking up the rear of the Car (Floor Jack)

If you go to Steeda's website & look at their jacking rails I think your issue and any confusion will be nicely resolved. You do need some sort of a low profile jack to put under the rail but they are cheap enough and available at about any place that sells auto parts...
