I heard they were top speed limited to 155 from the factory, regardless of final drive ratio or transmission.

I have a GTPP with the 3.73 and mine did 156 officially at the top of 5th. If I would've had the room, I could've went to 6th and could've done way more but 6th is a dog, even over 150...and I like my point free license.

i made it to 156 and the governor kicked in... i'm stock, a staggered setup with a Borla crossfire X/H pipe.

It may have more to go but once that speed limiter kicks in the....go stops there.

Even though my EU specs on the car says it is limited to 155mph I have been able to hit 165mph on the highway.

I have stock 19" wheels, open filter and x-pipe but afaik the car is electronical limited which I don't understand I can exceed like that.

GT 155 electronic Bullitt 163. Yes, a tune will remove/increase top speed. I can do 170 without any issues.

I thought that was the first limiter, and then there is a second (higher) limiter tucked away in some other module somewhere ?
