I have added a couple more Steeda goodies to my car. Well, one is installed and one will be installed in the next week or so.

I got my Steeda hood struts today. Since I am going with many Steeda suspension components on my car, I figured the hood struts would be a welcomed addition. Installed them this evening and I love them. Their hood plates are huge and provide a lot more support for our aluminum hoods. The struts are very nice and raise the hood perfectly. Nice and smooth.

I did have the Ford Performance Hood Struts and they worked well (I will be listing these for sale in a separate thread). I just preferred the Steeda ones due to being a bit more "beefy". The Steeda struts seem to be a bit stronger when raising the hood but that could just be my imagination as I have no way to compare the actual strut components but it sure feels different.

Here is a picture of the hardware to give you an idea of the size of the brackets and to see the cool Steeda logo. Thanks again, David!!

I also received the Red and Black differential bushings from David. I will be going with the black ones as I feel what minimal NVH there could be would be drowned out by my Roush AB and xpipe:D. The bushings and hardware look fantastic. Can't wait to get these installed. Gotta give Zemedici a call to get the install appointment on the books.

. And

If they arrive within the timeframe Mark shared, it will be a 3 month wait, almost to the day. It has been tough waiting, no doubt. I just keep looking at their pictures and how they build and QC there wheels. I sure hope they look good on my car and I have the expression on my face as is Jennifer Anniston is standing in front of me, naked, screaming my name to make love to her:lol::lol:

Thanks man! I am not sure what I want to do power wise. I gotta be honest....seeing all these centrifugal SC's that are being bought and installed is certainly making me think. My plan is to wait another year and make sure the '15 GT's are holding up well to boost and at what levels. Then decide what direction to go. For about $5500-6000 and having the ability to be right at 700rwhp is awesome and tempting :ford:. Hell, 650rwhp in a 3800lb GTPP should get you 130-132mph in the quarter. Probably even 135. That is flying and faster than 99% of the cars on the road.

You went Paxton, right?

I'm still NA for the moment. I'm focussing on building the entire car before adding power. I just started on weight reductions, ordered my wheels, and will start on the drivetrain reinforcement soon.

Sometime after the beginning of the year, I will begin on the engine build.

Placed my order today for wheels/tires. Hardest decision I have made on any performance car I have ever owned. #FirstWorldProblems

I am using RavSpec out of NYC as my vendor. They just joined here yesterday, so give them some M6G love:D:ford:

I bought WORK Wheels. In particular the Emotion CR 2P in 20x10 and 20x11. This is a 2 piece wheel that will have custom offsets front and rear. The offsets are still TBD ATM. They will have the Emotion flat red center caps and black lug nuts with the anodized polished lip. Deep concave on the rear and semi concave up front. The picture I have attached is the same wheel setup I have ordered. It has the GT Silver centers.

Link on the wheels from their site:

I am running 285/35/20 and 305/35/20 Hankook Ventus RS-3's version 2 tires.

Will take close to 3 months but I don't mind the weight as this is the wheel I have been looking for all along :eyebulge::headbang::D

I will have some professional photo shoot done once everything arrives.

Since I knew nothing about WORK wheels, I spent a lot of time yesterday reading up on them. Needless to say, I am impressed with their long history of producing very high quality wheels over in Japan. Nice to see them coming over to the American Muscle car segment :ford:

Let me know what you think:D
OMG, those wheels are gorgeous. How much?

They aren't cheap. About $3500 for what I got plus tires. Figure right at $5k when shipping is included and a great set of tires. (I am running 285/305 Hankook Ventus R-S3 version 2's and they are $1500 for a set of 4).

I think these wheels will weigh about 26lbs-27lbs a piece. That will save about 27-30lbs even running the large rubber, too.

That's an aggressive tire. You track the car, I take it?

At some point I will. I prefer to buy great tires for my street car :D. I don't drive it a ton during the year. Probably 5-6k a year. 70% of those miles will come from road trips and car cruises.

Wow, lucky. I drive about 15k/year and that is year-round here in NY. Meaning I see all kinds of weather, including a decent amount of snow. I have 3 sets of wheels/tires including a winter set with Blizzaks. However, the past 2 years I got by on 275/40/19 Conti DWS all 4 seasons with quite a bit of snow driving. They are a very impressive do it all tire. The new ones are supposed to be even better.

Anyhow, looking forward to seeing this awesome wheel/tire setup on your car. Are they clear-coated or raw polished aluminum?

I spent 10 years in Upstate NY so I know all about having winter tires, etc.

Those Conti's are really good tires. Grimace427 has them too and loves them.

They are a polished anodized lip. Should last a while.
