I have a guy here in Little Rock who has tinted over 10 cars for me, my family, & Friends. He's been tinting windows 23 years at local audio shop. $125 for standard tint job. Just got my S550 tinted Friday. $175 EVERY window in the car including entire windshield. 5% all around except for 35% on windshield! It's darker than I expected due to full windshield being tinted but I Love it! Hope the cops don't bother me to much. passed a few and haven't had any issues knock on wood.

How are you guys tinting your front windows? Its illegal here in Florida.

Windshield Non-reflective tint is allowed along the top of the windshield above the manufacturer's AS-1 line.
Front Side Windows Must allow more than 28% of light in.
Back Side Windows Must allow more than 15% of light in.
Rear Window Must allow more than 15% of light in.

I paid $199 with a lifetime warranty. 50% door/35% quarter/20% rear

Louisiana tint laws suck.

When I was living in LA I went to Fresh Window Tint in Manhatten Beach. Get 3M color stable and I had 5% limo on rear and 15% front windows.
Never got pulled over my 2 years in SoCal.
When I brought my lease back to VA different story thank god its a lease and I still had CA Tags and License Honda took it back no questions asked :amen:

If tinting were illegal in AZ, you'd have a skin cancer epidemic and probably end up with hundreds more accidents every year. It's not even that great 'officially' here (33% front, any darkness elsewhere), but I see people running limo tint without many problems. Of course going to CA ever will net yourself a nice fix-it ticket I'm sure.
Tint isn't illegal in Florida. Tint on the ENTIRE FRONT window is illegal. Thats why I am wondering how people are tinting their front window and not getting in trouble for it.

Almost all tinting is illegal in NY -- rear windows can be tinted to anything; side windows can only be tinted to 70% pass through, front can't be tinted at all below 6" from the top of the windshield -- but almost any tint shop will give you an illegal tint as long as you sign a waiver agreement acknowledging that the tint is illegal and that they're not responsible for any damage or tickets or whatever.

I asked my dealer to do tint on the car when they received it, since I am in Florida. Well anyways, they quoted me $299 to tint all the windows. I feel like this is expensive but I have no clue what it costs.

Just wondering what every one elses experiences are with this?
That's extremely outrageous! It depends on the quality of tint and I'm assuming location. Check out this website http://www.nashvilletint.com/. You can call George for some great advice. BTW, he did my Ruby for me

Probably 50% of the tint on the roads here in fla is illegal. I have several neighbors that are leos and their biggest issue is not being able to see you or your tag.

$100 for 15% all around. Left the windshield alone though. Employee discount helped a little bit.

I'm pricing out some places here, but also not sure about the tint quality. Anyone with experience can rank between 3M, Llumar, SolarGuard, SunTek, Viper and HĂĽper Optik ceramic film? I believe my Fusion has HĂĽper Optik ceramic film from a place in Indy where I used to live. Been great and going on 4 years.

I just paid $300 for a ceramic 45% tint and it was well worth it. They shaved it all the way out to the edge of the glass so there are no 'gaps' and it looks great with the black on black setup. I can tell a big difference in heat blockage, and they warranty the work vs. doing it yourself.

Im trying out this tint place in maryland called Absolute Perfection tinting.
My previous car I had 3M Color Stable paid $250 (4 door car) guarantee and nationwide warranty
They do not carry 3M but suggested their Formula 1 Pinnacle series for $425
They also carry Spectra Photo Sync this is regarded as the best tint with 80% heat rejection but it cost $600

Im still shopping around as my car is on order
Tweezy7,
Did you go with Absolute Perfection? If so, are you satisfied with their work and the quality of the product? I am in Maryland and am looking for a place to get my windows done.

Thanks,
Rad

I thought with summer around the corner & not seeing a tint thread... getting a job done next week with ceramic Llumar just the sides & side quarters for $200 otd. Not a steal but I’m sure it could be more.
