I purchased my new 2019 GT350 in December 2019(year-end sale) for $55K. The sticker price was $64.5K. The car was in show room at dealership. I was waiting for 2022 M3 in spring this year, but because of the price and handling (remind me very much e92 M3) I pull the trigger on GT350.

I did not order my 2019 GT350 in Jan., 2019 for an investment. I wanted a rare Shelby GT350 with the Voodoo engine.

I think some of you bought a bargain. I also think that some dealers will add dealer fees and optional stuff (the ad is to get you in).

I paid less than here:

I got a flat plan crank engine wrapped with a great car.:

I bought the best Shelby GT350 ever made.

Cool post on Jalopnik. obviously feel bad for the guy, but a great thread overall.
sucks about his ALS diagnosis.

my friends from OVC are in the picture of the GT350

Feel bad for the dude for sure, ALS kills you a little bit at a time till you can’t move, talk or breath or digest food.

My son just lost his mother in law to ALS. It was a 4 year downward spiral. Terrible disease to say the least.

My old gt350 has been sitting on the trade in lot for 2 months now. Reduced to 41995. 2016 track pack with 9200 miles. I was reluctant to trade it in but glad I did now. They gave me 39k for it. Add the tax difference and I think I made out just fine. Market is definitely soft in these parts.

You are just above me in Milton while I am in Sandy Springs, GA.

Why did you sell it for $39K? Did you get bored with it?

You had to trade it for something to get the Ad Valorem Tax (TAVT) deduction?

I grew up in Sandy Springs/Dunwoody and have lived in the area all 57 years. Have seen some changes in this place for sure.

Traded for a number of reasons. Loved the handling and of course the exhaust note. I still think the 350 is the best looking mustang to date. Tough to part with but I was ready for something with less road noise (wife and I do a lot of weekend trips) The 350 needed more low end torque and don’t get me started on the sound system. But people buy cars for different reasons. I probably read too much about voodoo failures and the car was 4 years old and I was not willing to go beyond the power train warranty or extend it.

I have lived in my house for 34 years. I went to a public high school in Buckhead > UGA.

FYI, my wife and I went to NC for Christmas in the Shelby GT350. She said it was the loudest and most unconformable car that she has driven in. She has a new Mercedes E 440 which has problems. Luckily, we are near the RMB dealer in Sandy Springs (across the street from Sandy Springs Ford).

So, what did you get as a trade?

I lived on Norhside Dr. near Chastain Park in the mid 70's early 80's and went to Northside High.
I spent most of my early years remodeling/rebuilding a lot of the older homes in Buckhead from 1986 to 1999.

Funny my wife actually loved the Recaros in my 350. She said it felt like sitting in the palm of someones hand. I'm a windows down guy and women/hair/open windows didn't always go hand in hand. The 350 was a sunny day open windows exhaust concert for me. I tracked it a few times too which was intoxicating but sadly my business does not allow another hobby right now.

It was time to unload my wife's ML350 and the new GLE/GLS did not appeal to us. We drove an X5 and then an X7. She loved the X7 (space for grand kids) so we bought it. I drove by the dealer the next week and they had just received an M5 with some nice carbon bits and an Mperformance exhaust. They made a nice deal and got very close to book value on the 350 so I let it go. I bought an E55 in 2001 from RBM and there's nothing like a high hp German sedan. It's a whole different animal than the 350. Performance numbers speak for themselves with an interior that is on par with a 100k car. My 350 had few build issues but I would've had a hard time justifying spending more than 56k for the interior or the fit and finish.

I do miss the 350 for it's finer points and have thought about buying it back. I just don't have the time for 5 cars (I own a couple of trucks too) I would also have to install a 4 post to store it and know I'd probably never spend the time to dig it out and drive it.

LOL, Its updated now
Yea, 90K.

Yes the market has softened a bit. Most of these internet commandos never were going to buy one or probably will buy one.

Now they are all after a really cheap GT500, lol

Interesting post. I’m a GC and like you have many vehicles. I was looking to replace my 16 vert and was after either an m series, 911, or a merc gt. Cost was never a real concern. For me I found myself having to convince myself on one of the choices. I didn’t have to do that with my 20/350. I really wanted the manual as well. I’ll be after a 500 next summer. The Bmw and the Porsche I don’t have second thoughts. The Merc Gt was amazing.
