  1. 2016 Shelbygt350 Forscan how to ?

did this years ago. it's great, I just put the trans cooler front and center in the gauge cluster as a rule. I've never got close to the rumored 275 limp mode temp in street driving.
  2. Why is oil level such a PITA to determine?

put an oil sensor in the car. I have several other cars that do this, doesn't seem like re-inventing the wheel
  3. Throttle Response Enhancers

I have been happy with the Solar body option. Well respected members here who know snake oil from true improvements have agreed.
  4. New Soler 95mm Throttle Body

yeah, the previous one is great. Plug and play, noticeable improvement in throttle response, no tune. Keep it simple.
  5. 350 v 350R

If you're primarily a street driver, buy a regular GT350, get some lightweight forged wheels, and you're good to go.
  6. How are Gen 2 Voodoos holding up?

Link? Did some quick googling, couldn't find it.
  7. How are Gen 2 Voodoos holding up?

do we have any reliable data that gen2 is more robust than gen1?
  8. Soler Engineering Throttle body

my understanding is the TB helps get into the power quicker, more responsive, but doesn't increase the overall power.
  9. GM Engineer about the 350 fpc.

I don't know why ford hasn't made a coyote with an 8250 redline and 500+ HP. seems it's leaving money on the table to not do that if they felt they could have. Either the Voodoo has advantages that allow for those specs, or they don't want to upstage the GT350. Maybe the coyote in the...
  10. GM Engineer about the 350 fpc.

Agree for the most part. But you may be downplaying some of the other benefits. No coyote is going to 8250, and no coyote has the power numbers of the voodoo. Whether that is intentional by Ford so Voodoo remains king of the hill in their NA portfolio, I don't know. Your point about how it...
  11. GM Engineer about the 350 fpc.

Are we giving too much weight to Honey Badger's N of 1? He, we all can agree, is an outlier regarding intensity, mods, pushing the car. His experience is great, and I love his posts, but I'm not sure we can make broad statements about the voodoo in general from his ownership. Are more casual...
  12. z06 LT6

I like the deeper growl with the resonators on the regular GT350. Plus, I don't need a few more decibels to alert the police even more, I'm happy with the volume already. The "tube" resonators on the GT350 don't affect power output (some even say resonators can help power, but I doubt it...
  13. GM Engineer about the 350 fpc.

This is interesting. Supports the idea that is talked about often regarding Ferrari V8 engines, that once you start getting over 4 liters the vibrations are a bigger problem, and your dampening needs increase, which can outweigh some of the flat plane benefits.
  14. z06 LT6

sounds here like sound played a big role in the unequal length header decision: (I know it's a GT500 article, but they talk specifically about the GT350 sound) https://www.roadandtrack.com/new-cars/car-technology/a27484441/how-ford-made-the-mustang-shelby-gt500-the-right-kind-of-loud/
  15. z06 LT6

Voodoo still sounds better. more unique low RPM staccato hammers to go with high RPM scream. That being said, the new Z06 is mighty impressive. Also mighty expensive. And if the Voodoo is hard to really push on normal roads without going to jail, the Z06 would be even worse. Talk about...
  16. A sad day... RIP GT350

how much damage to the front end do you need to deploy an airbag? Yikes.
  17. Did GT350 values just get bolstered with the S650 reveal?

S650 Front grille/hood has a "sleepy eyelid" vibe that reminds me of the first gen e90 kidney grille, which is not a good thing.
  18. Did GT350 values just get bolstered with the S650 reveal?

Per Car and Driver's recent article on the new S650: " The new-look interior is a big break from tradition, but Ford said it's intended to appeal to a younger demographic of people who grew up playing video games." I grew up playing video games. I love my GT350 analog dials.
  19. What did you do to your GT350 today?

black plates buried in black stripes is a great move
