Here we go again.
Yup, people without a horse in the race jumping in with their opinions.

Hopefully the thread won’t get locked

Ignorant to suggest that you somehow know this type of thing doesn’t affect future offerings.

On a public forum - you believe only people who share the same opinion should chime in?

I think it’s silly - just my opinion and I’m bowing out. If you feel the need to get the last word, have at it. I’ll not reply.

Ignorant to suggest...
You do realize that the base/tech are at high risk of overheating in the southern states such as Texas and Arizona right? No one is asking to finish 30 minutes on the track. There are many reasons why this is going forward and no one is out to get money, either. I'm surely not. However, Ford's decision to reduce cost by not providing the tech/base models proper cooling isn't cool at all. Last I checked, it is a performance vehicle right... let's compare the GT350 base / tech to another vehicle for another moment to the 2016 Camaro 1LT which is 3.6L V6 which is roughly $30K-$35K with only 335horses. Guess how many engine coolers it has? More than the base GT350 or the tech package.

Not arguing anything - just want to point out that the base and tech cars were less expensive, too. It wasn’t just a cost savings move.

I'm curious, who invited the scumbag lawyer to come in here and stir the pot? Just about when our wounds were healed and here we go again.
All I did was post what was on the docket. Or did you mean some other scumbag lawyer?

I married one, trust me, I know

You know the joke....

What's the difference between a dead skunk in the road and a dead lawyer?

There's skid marks in front of the skunk.

Oh, and those comments were not directed towards you. You are an upstanding member of this forum.

Edited: the lawyer I was refering to was removed from the thread :like:

Further clarification. There are people who I hold in high esteem in the legal field (who are also part of this forum), but when it comes to some shark swimming around an internet forum to drum up business towards a class action lawsuit without regard to the community and the pain this rift has caused, I get upset.

Edited: the lawyer was removed from the thread :handsinair:

The hooker will usually stop screwing you once you’re dead. ;-)

THX,
If we are all going to go down this road again, I'd much rather get legal opinion and news from a respected forum member such as yourself rather than some ambulance chaser who stoped by in an attempt to solicit more business.

Your opinions are welcome.

Oh, one more.....
How do you know when a lawyer is lying?

His mouth is moving.

My wife substitutes the word lawyer with pilot......
"Ladies and gentlemen, we are #20 for takeoff, we should be airborne in just a few minutes...."

There was a point to the last joke, all a class action suit does is get the lawyers rich. Maybe we should all read the old thread again instead of going over it all again here.

Exactly. The only winners are the lawyers. The plaintiffs get little in return except perhaps the satisfaction of knowing the defendant had to pay large sums of money with the hopes they may change their ways. I participated in a couple when I felt I was wronged. Now I toss any solicitation in the garbage.

Jim, you are a great guy. You do, and have done a lot for people here on this forum. You have my utmost respect. If I offended you, please accept my apologies.

I do have a horse in this race. It's my all the money I have in the GT350s I have. The first sharp decline in the resale values of GT350s seemed to result around this tech pack lawsuit fiasco. Maybe that aspect is behind us at this point (for most of us), but it has a negative impact on peoples perception of the cars I own. "Hey, isn't that one of those cars I read about that goes limp......"

All this does is make greedy lawyers rich and give Ford a bad name. Nothing will ever be done to get you a track pack transmission and differential with coolers free of charge.

I advocated for Ford to provide kits at cost and maintain warranty. Well they did offer subsidized transmissions and coolers. I know, I bought one from someone who got out of his 350. $2500 bucks, wow, that was a great deal. Thank you Ford!

May I ask, what do you think will happen with this lawsuit if successful? Another question, what do you hope to gain from a personal standpoint?

And my request they ask Ford about turning off the trans temp display...

To me, this shows a deliberate action by Ford to obfuscate the impact of the lack of coolers.

I hope it gets asked and answered.

Back in the day of the mega lawsuit, or it could have been rhe cooler thread, we came up w some minuscule numbers of affected. I think based on productions numbers the total number of affected vehicles was a bit over 4,000. We also made an attempt of what it might cost Ford and also the number of base/tech owners who would or would not go for the fix.....To some, it might not be an issue.

The thing that sucks most to me is the lack of any offer from Ford to work WITH me on a fix amd not just dump it on me.

Please remember Ford bailed on producing GT350s without trans and diff coolers since the 2016 MY. I paid $60k to be their guinea pig. I can’t imagine being screwed more than that in ADM.

@Tomster, I saw your other post to me and I’ll respond to that too. But in it, i think you say the lawsuit is impacting the resale value of GT350s.

I would argue randomly blown engines, engines that use a ridiculously amount of oil, and Ford’s willingness to market and sell a dangerous model that can put its occupants in seriouly dangerous situations all contribute to reduced values.

I hope were on the same page here but you just replied with the #1 comment I get from camaro and jeep owners. Why do we have more coolers than your GT350? LOL. I can't... I simply reply, just a poor decision on Ford's part and it was the first year production run which was corrected in 2017 + models.

It can't be a poor decision on my part that I went with ford, right? It's the manufacture's responsibility to ensure they avoid all bad publicity, negative remarks, recalls, and etc. We're discussing NO TRACK USE but the fact it will go to limp in the streets.
