You reinstalled the PMAS fender well kit or the original designed PMAS engine bay kit ?Also a little update I put the PMAS back on with the new maf and the iat still climbs when I floor it

Aren’t IATs naturally going to climb when anyone floors it?Yep still tuning just haven’t had enough time. I picked up the PCMTEC custom os and am working through some issues with that.

You would think it is the opposite as during wot more air is flowing which means more fresh air which should mean colder air.Aren’t IATs naturally going to climb when anyone floors it?
Makes sense, I was thinking motor temps would increase at WOT causing the surrounding air temp to increase and thus IATs. But I guess that may only be applicable after a WOT run is completed. You would think it is the opposite as during wot more air is flowing which means more fresh air which should mean colder air.
Every other cai I have the iat will drop. Not sure the logic on it raising especially since the maf is out of the engine bay so the engine heat shouldn’t be getting to it.
This goes back to my comment earlier in this thread about the MAF sensor relocated in the vertical position.. Not sure the logic on it raising especially since the maf is out of the engine bay so the engine heat shouldn’t be getting to it.
One step ahead of you haha fog light is already removed so especially at speed you would think it has tons of fresh airSounds like the front fender well is getting air from the engine bay if temps rise. The lower fascia is pretty well blocked off to avoid air entering the front going to either side/fender area. Pull a fog light out and see if that helps. Don't think the 350 has fogs and the fender vents are functional. Same idea roush does with their extra cooling package. Front gets opened up to let air in and fender vents become functional/ needed.
Yep temps will drop with stock cai and jlt but for some reason creep up with the PMAS. Not sure if it’s the maf location getting hit with a stream of hot air or whatSo you verified that you don’t have the temp rise issue on the stock intake, but do have it on the pmas?
which means it has to be the intake, there’s no other option there
it blew up.... lolWhat happened here, you still tuning ?

Thermal stratification.Yep temps will drop with stock cai and jlt but for some reason creep up with the PMAS. Not sure if it’s the maf location getting hit with a stream of hot air or what
Good point, the MAF will be relatively cool, while the majority of it will be hot.Horizontal MAF sensor isn’t subjected to as large of a temperature gradient as vertical.
