Hey hey… I prefer “influential” it was only a matter of time before we had this talk right? I just caught the bug first last night 😂

While I don't have Borla on my GT I did put one on my Titan, during a exuberant phase in life. It sounds great when you get on it and subtle when cruising. Best was after 8 or 10 years part of the pipe rusted off that goes over the axle. Called Borla, the guy who answered asked where I lived I said Indianapolis, he say "Yeah Midwest winters, we'll ship you a whole new exhaust." Blow me down! The sent a complete dual exhaust system for one pipe section. So they are stand up folks and they're systems sound badass.

That is great customer service! I had a Borla Atak on my GT and loved it… I just feel from what I’ve heard in videos the Switchfire almost gives the coyote a voodooish sound. Not perfect, but in that direction more than a traditional X or H pipe.

I currently have a 22' GT Roush P2 with all the goodies...E85, 2.8 pulley, SW LTH w/ high flow cats and the Borla SF res delete flowing into stock OEM non-active exhaust.

Car sounds absolutely insane. I've had people chase me down on the highway and ask what kind of exhaust I was running. Rubber necking everywhere all the time.

The Borla SF gives the car a kind of "flange" effect similar to what you would hear in electric guitar effects. Its very difficult to describe in words, but pure joy to hear in person.

LOVE the Switchfire. I had it put on my Mach 1 with everything else stock. Very nice bump in volume and the tone is really nice. I really like it, its a bit pricey but worth it to me... If I didn't do that, just a simple H pipe would have been the route I took...

I had the FP by Borla on my 2019 GT I sold. Loved it. I didn’t have active exhaust on that car so the startups in the morning were super loud. But at cruise speed it was quiet unless you got on it.

Both sound great, can’t go wrong with either one. I believe the FP X pipe is 409 stainless, so you might get a little surface rust whereas the Borla is 304 stainless, so no rust ever. That and sound will be the only difference.

I think I’ll go Switchfire because I love the exotic tone it gives the car, Mags do you know if one day I did headers or finished off my catback I’d be able to retain the Switchfire?

Should be able to. With a different axle back exhaust yes. I’ve not done headers but I believe it works with headers as well

I had the Switchfire on an oem active exhaust for 6 years and it sounded nice. Then I put headers on and the result was a very raspy sounding exhaust. I first tried Vibrant bottle resonaters downstream of the Switchfire but it still was not a pleasing sound. Next I had the Switchfire replaced by a shop made H pipe and the sound became deeper and more to my liking.
I really think that the Switchfire was designed purely for the oem setup where it excels.

Thank you for the feedback guys, I actually am not too opposed to “raspy” sounding v8 noises, and honestly prefer an x to an h pipe, so maybe the Switchfire with headers would put me right where I’d want to be because I think regular x pipes with headers are too raspy. Though I probably won’t ever even touch the headers as I have a 10 year warranty 😂

Watched some more videos and I think for the most “unique” sound from the coyote the switch fire takes the cake, unless anybody has any other recommendations for me to check out?

That was my observation completely. I had the shop that did my MGW shifter install do that at the same time... Very happy with it...
