The 4 piston all you need to do is pop off a spring, pull 2 pins and lift the pad out the top.

Wheel off, replace pads, wheel on 5 to 10 min. Depending on if you take a bathroom break or not.

Brembo's, are a pain, have to take the caliper off, need new bolts.......

If I could have bought a swap for the price you did I'd jump on it. The steeda rotors are close to 1K, but they do work.

Nonsense, you don’t have to remove the calipers to change pads on the Brembo
Obviously the Brembo are much better calipers than the 4 pistons but, the real issue with the 4 pistons braking system is the reverse cooled rotors that simply can’t handle any heat
Funny how people rationalize that what they have is top rate...

I changed to the Steeda 2 piece rotors. They cool fine

The pads on the Brembo's load from the bottom. The caliper needs to be removed.

If removing the caliper is easier than not, more power to you.

You’re just burying yourself....
Seriously, why are you arguing with people that have Brembo?? Not too smart

How am I burying myself? Every set of Brembos I have seen load the pads from the bottom.

If I'm wrong on the GT so be it.

EDIT

Looked at some instructions for the brembo fronts. It says to remove the caliper, also says to replace the mounting bolts.

Now, you’re really burying yourself deeep....
As I told you, arguing with people that have PP1 calibers is not the smartest thing to do....and you should no believe everything you read on the internet.
Those calipers, like 99.99% of fixed calipers load from the top

If you read my posts I said
1 The brembos look great
2 they are heavy
3 it is a pain to change pads
4 With 2 piece rotors the 4 piston work great
5 4 piston are lighter
6 4 piston pad chages are easier

You heard

Brembos suck

You guys are worse than my wife

Again if on the mustang they load from the top I'm wrong.

Other points are valid.

No, they don't. The pins and the bridge bolt come out and they slide out from the top.

The GT350 brembos do require the caliper to come off, which is why many do the Caliperfektion stud kit.

Get some 2 piece rotors and the 4 piston brakes are fine.
They are. But the Brembos are better. More stopping power and more consistent pedal feel. The 4 piston calipers are not too shabby, but the Brembos are a significant upgrade, not to mention the larger rotor means better heat dissipation (again, consistency).

I agree 100%

For me it was about the same price for the swap or the rotors. I chose the rotors due to the weight savings over the Brembo's. This car is already pig heavy.

I have not overheated my brakes since the change, I also have no fade to speak of. Consistent pedal. I did the right change for me.

If you just looked at one, you'd immediately see that your statement is not correct. You have to remove the middle top bolt, and the 2 side pins holding the springs, and the pads come out the top. And that's from the service manual instructions. And yes, we're talking GT/Bullitts, not Shelbys.

Got the OP hardware kit, anything else that I should take care of? I was tempted to maybe purchase the 2 piece rotors, but given it's a DD and the service/replace for the rotors is $600, that's a bit too much lol.

I highly doubt anyone is overheating either the 4 or 6 pot calipers. It's much more likely that people experience pad fade due to the venting being on the outside of the rotor, which 2-piece discs remedy. The GT stuff is plenty big enough if cooled properly. There may be feel advantage to the bigger calipers, I don't know. There's definitely a weight advantage to the 4-pot/14" fronts. The cast steel caliper on the rear is a boat anchor, though, and it's basically just along for the ride.
