Rear springs are way too soft to be competitive. They are reviewed well by people who don't know much better. They ride and handle decent at 8/10ths or less, as they come.
Take Ken's advice on tuning and setup with them. They can be made to work well for a CAM setup but not with the spring...
Doesn't change the fact that the chemistry of said batteries is compromised and problematic for a transition to the attributes required to make EVs a significant plurality or majority of the market. Solid state and carbon based batteries will change everything.
It's just a Mustang. They may seem nice when new but you'll realize that they're a cheap car built cheaply and you should just drive it and enjoy it. It's not a 911R, don't treat it like one.
It's definitely not. Battery technology that's in the process of being commercialized will dramatically change the viability of EVs from a range, charge time, manufacturing sustainability and cost perspective. They're far less complex vehicles to build and test overall and that change in tech...
Some brands supplement their great products with marketing, some attempt to sustain their businesses with marketing while not having the product to back it up.
I'm not the only one who I know that won't be buying another Ford due to this. My list of reasons:
1. This badge exercise debacle - shows a complete lack of focus on product and only on marketing
2. The lots of things that broke on my S550 that should never break
3. I've seen both the sausage...
They're anodized, which is quite a bit different from painting. In general, maximum friction will come from two surfaces that have similar peaks and valleys.
Nor does he make tune adjustments for significant deficiencies in his tuning that you can repeat and log with ease. 100% would not spend more money there. I don't care if I'm 5 whp down.
Just means the contact pressure is higher. Ff = mu*N, with N being the same via the bolt stretch tensile force.
I knocked the studs out of bolt on spacers and have been using those for my slip ons. They work great.
Having had both, the ATAK was slightly less interior volume under acceleration. Both were pretty quiet at cruise (though not silent). Zero drone with both.
I see too many people say things like "Well I can't use the performance/handling 90% of the time"
Sure, but that 10% is the very reason you buy a car with some soul, and completely validates the purchase.
