  1. '18 3.73 PP Diff whine

It does not really; again, the sound is a whine, not a roar. It just sounds like gears not quite interfacing properly, but they are. Just how it is. I'm not spending more money on a snipe hunt.
  2. '18 3.73 PP Diff whine

Did not, and my solution has been to simply bear with the noise. The car already has so many mods from stock on it, gear whine is the least of the problems. It has been to a couple of track days, and I've replaced the diff fluid a couple times as insurance. Noise hasn't gotten any worse or more...

Already bought the SuperPros based both on your recommendation and the fact that SuperPro seem to be universally liked for their products, I can just ask for them to be installed in the 12 o'clock neutral castor position. I suppose the question would be this; what would the total effect of the...

Hmmm, I don't know how comfortable I am going hog wild with suspension geometry changes trying to fix something over just having the rack spacers installed, y'know?
  5. 2016 GT suspension recommendations

Huh, I wonder how much they effect the turn radius? I'll probably still get them but it would be nice to know. Ohhhhh! Interesting, that could explain why mine are worn out; toughened up suspension means they got hammered out of shape. Wow, those are pretty! And that's a good feature, maybe...

Gotcha, I did give J&M a call asking about their castor bearing and they said it wasn't really made for winter conditions. I absolutely trust that Steeda makes a terrific part, about half the parts I have are Steeda, the other half are BMR. I'm just not sure if it's worth ~$100 over the...

Unfortunately New England isn't known for having weather as nice as Cali. I think I'm more worried about the possibility of the metal bearings wearing, either the ball bearings getting corroded or getting just worn down due to the street miles. Poly most people talk about squeaking/creaking over...

Gotcha, do the spherical bushings hold up to being used on the street, especially winter weather? I've read that sphericals tend to be made for track only purposes, as in street miles and weather causes them to break down compared to poly, on top of some of them needing to be lubed. If that...

Unfortunately yeah, it seems like the entire lateral arm is a disposable part, as are the nuts and bolts, even though Steeda says to reused them. The track width comment was in relation to this message from the other thread; (Rereading it, it might not be referring to track width, but I do not...

Wait. Hang on, just realized that the arm with is the lateral link/lower control arm, not the tension link/upper. Which it seems like you can't just replace the bushing on, I need a entirely new set of arms. Sucks. Also, I'm guessing the front bolt and nut will need to replaced as well? If...

Was able to get under the car, and yeah it wasn't fantastic. Lots of rust on the outer tie rod and a bit of movement in the bushings on both sides. They suggested just replacing the outer tie rods on both sides, since while it didn't have the movement it still looked pretty rusted. So now I'm...

Actually building off of this, the tension links I have are stock GT ones, without the brake deflector, would any of the aftermarket bushings/bearings fit? I've heard that PP LCAs have a different bushing, but unsure if the diameter is different or if it's just the material. Would it be better...

This the J&M kit? It does look nice, if it turns out both sides of the Steeda kit are toast then I'll also do the upgrade, but if it is just the one side that's worn out, I'll just get a replacement from Steeda for $60 and hopefully it lasts another 3 years. Ahhhh gotcha. I'll just double check...

So, necroing a bit, but I've got a bit of a update for the suspension; had some very slight wheel wiggle when the car is parked. Not extremely noticeable when the car is in motion and warm, but still there. (no video for obvious reasons) Was getting the oil changed anyway so I asked if they...
  15. Service AdvanceTrac light, No power steering, no adaptive cruise control after laps on track

So a couple things; The problem still hasn't come back, but I haven't done anything mechanically to fix it. I want to take the car to the track again to see if either the problem is solved or if I can provoke it to start again to hopefully figure out the issue. But another issue has developed...
  16. Service AdvanceTrac light, No power steering, no adaptive cruise control after laps on track

Issue hasn't come back, but given that I haven't actually done anything except remove a tune, but I don't think that was the solution. I want to do another track day, but I don't want another early end. Does anyone know of any way to check my old forscan scans to try and check which sensors were...
  17. Service AdvanceTrac light, No power steering, no adaptive cruise control after laps on track

So, maybe I have a answer; Ford looked at the car sans tune, and didn't find any issues with the computer. However, the did test the battery, and found that it's actual CCAs are around 344 CCAs. I'll test it again but I'm surprised it's gotten that bad, AGMs are supposed to have a longer...
  18. Service AdvanceTrac light, No power steering, no adaptive cruise control after laps on track

I believe the code is stored, but not active/firing. Car was working fine, etc etc. Hmmm, that might be it, unfortunately I'm not sure how much there is I can do. The D4700 is about as big as it gets for batteries that fit. Also, I thought 400 amps was what it required for starting a coyote...
  19. Service AdvanceTrac light, No power steering, no adaptive cruise control after laps on track

Got the battery tested, and they said it was alright, 86% state of charge. Not bad given it was sitting in a parking lot for 11 hours with a camera running. I think the only thing left to do is get the tune returned to stock.
  20. Service AdvanceTrac light, No power steering, no adaptive cruise control after laps on track

Will do. (In further updates, I'm a moron. I do not have a LiPo battery, the D4700 is a AGM (Absorbed Glass Mat))
