Editing this post because I stated all was good with the sway bar. But that is not the case…

just got back under the car and see this wear on the drivers side….

Really at a loss of what could be the issue lol.

Your best bet is to call Steeda. I had an issue with something from them a little while back and two guys said it’s totally normal. After about another month I finally got tired of it and called back, got someone that immediately knew the issue and gave exact instructions how to fix it. Problem solved.

look for wear marks on the shocks (zerk fittings) and suspension arms and anywhere else.

What else was loosened or removed for the install? Struts?

The wear marks on the bar, esp the scrapes along the bends and at corners could easily be from the installs. Or paint over those and see where new ones show up?

I went with a BMR bar fwiw, so not much help.

On the 4th time installing I paid very close attention to where the bar was making contact going in and out. Between the bar scooting across the ground and rubbing the K member it is very possible that the wear I am seeing is from repeated install.

I am chasing a ghost. I just did repeated aggressive turning out at a warehouse parking lot and the car is not giving me any issues. Other than it feels like the front passenger side is hopping under moderate throttle turning and makes a shuddering sound.

I am confident the install is correct at this point and will hit up Steeda on Monday. Regardless the steering is drastically improved with the new bars and I can install a front one in about 25 min now.

I appreciate everyone’s suggestions and ideas! Really has been helpful in narrowing things down.

One last thing, and this may be a bit out there so bear with me. Are you running summer tires? I just put my Pirelli OEM summer tires back on in preparation to sell the car and with the cool weather we still have at this time of year that rubber jumps and skips when you put it under hard force. It wheelhops under moderate accelaration before you warm it up and it pops and shudders in sharp turns in parking lots. Granted, the Pirelli rubber is worse for this than most but it might be a consideration.

Honesty a very good point. I’m running PS4s and just pulled the car out from its hibernation. These were my first mods of the year and I’d imagine my tires have gotten nowhere near up to temp. I’ll have to pay attention to this when things (if things) warm up.

Have you laid both sway bars side by side, checked length from end to end. Just a thought, could have got sent the wrong one. Where is the paint scraping, as in, is there paint marks anywhere in the area it might be rubbing on. When I was on a search for a squeak I removed my suspension many times over replacing 1 part at a time with oem & after removing the sway bar quiet a few times, it had no scratches like that. Then again I always lay down cardboard. Like I said, just a thought.

Youll get an over dampening effect with a stiffer bar. The other thing (with out hearing the noise) is it brake rotor float or MAYBE bad strut mount or wheel bearing??

If youre getting more force, it can open up issues you wouldn't notice for another 20k miles.

The radius arms, tierods, etc.

Just spitballing where I'd look.

Potentially the bar is defective. Stress point on the bar is at the ends where the welds are at bar end link mounts. I'd focus on those ends where the bracket for end link mounts are pressed and welded to the bar. It doesn't take much for those welds to break. Particularly if there was insufficient penetration of the welds and quality control went on vacation.

That's all I can think of. You've accomplished a good process of elimination already IMO.

Could easily be a bad bar. Happens. Steeda is a very reputable company. Bring it up but inspect, put a cloth in a vise grab the bar and test it or ask for another bar.

Thanks all for the suggestions!

I am awaiting some warmer weather to fully troubleshoot and ensure my tires have the required temps for proper use.

The car is currently handling exceptionally and I believe my tires very well could of of been a culprit in this. As painful as that may be to admit.
