Swap M1 Hood

I don’t believe that I’ve seen this in the what did you do to your mach one thread but I could’ve easily missed it because of so many posts. Has anybody put on an aftermarket hood on their M1 yet? I’m assuming many have but I don’t think I’ve ever seen pictures of anything but GT‘s putting on other types of hoods. Some pictures would be great of those who’ve done it.

Well, we’re talking the same color as mine but it’s just not an HP. I see it looks like you kind of put the decals back on. Looks great.

The Mach 1 is unique on its own with the stripes, grill, rear fascia and wheels. I think Ford got it right from the factory.

I agree. That’s why I haven’t done anything yet. I love the decals on the hood and I love the matte finish.

you can always change out the heat extractors for something else on original hood? I put RTR custom painted ones on, they look subtle and better than factory.

Sorry for reopening this thread, could you share some info on the RTR extractors? Do they require cutting of the hood itself? What about the cover under the hood (the black cloth attached to it), have you cut it? Do these actually increase extraction from the engine bay?
I'd love any pictures if possible to see them installed, not only marketed...

Doc, last time we met, I haven't noticed you have replaced the hood entirely... I bet you need this GT500 vent with the charger underneath... I was aiming at increasing extraction flow from the standard Mach 1 hood, possibly increasing the standard openings a bit... I've made some research, and it wouldn't even make sense.
Looks menacing with this hood though!
