They compress the air fuel mixture going into the engine. The result is more power.

looking for a phase 1 supercharger kit

I have a Roush Phase 2 on my 16. Mine just has minor mods with around 670ish WHP on 93. You will get pretty much the same results with any blower on a GEN2 unless you want to push it to the upper limits.
