Don't you love it when the photo shows 3 parts, but nowhere on the page does it confirm Quantity 3?
I knew about them, just didn't think I needed them. lol

Finally I can dial in my camber at home. Firestone will be happy.

The brakes took more of a beating then I had expected... Front dust seals are toast on the Brembos, rears are just as bad or worse. Additionally there are heat cracks in the front rotors...

Thanks!

I should have added to the last post this time around I switched the brake pad compounds and front tires.

Brakes: The R12 compound was noticeably more aggressive than the 10. No matter what I threw at them there was zero fade. The 10s would start to show minor fade after 8 or 9 hard laps. The flip side is they will bring on the abs a lot easier than the 10s with the Michelin tires.

Another (known) side effect is the squeal. The 10s were ok to daily and would only squeal when the pads were in certain temp ranges. The 12s squeal as soon as they get warm and never shut up. They are bad enough that I ordered some GS-1 pads to daily up front and will swap out for track days.

Tires:I've been running Michelin Pilot Super Sports religiously this past year. I buy them used with anywhere from 8/32 - 6/32 and (bad alignment notwithstanding) I get 3-4 track days + ~5,000 miles out of them. The last few sets have been either 285 or 275/35/19. The center tread would be fine, but the outer and inner would be done. (The inner tread is a new thing since adding the camber plates and running -2.5 up front. I'll be changing to -2.0 to see if that helps.)

This time I decided to change it up with 285/35/19 ZP - Super Sports; run-flats. These are the tires that were made specifically for the C7. I figured if they are good enough for the 'vette, it couldn't hurt to try. I have to say I'm impressed. While they are a littler harsher around town on the road, they did well at the track. After a full day at the they show barely any wear on the outside edge whereas the regular MPSS would show significant wear in just one day. However, they did seem to get a greasy a little earlier than the regular Super Sports and I was around a second off my normal lap time most of the day.

The time difference is likely due to me figuring out the brakes and that in turn may have contributed to getting more heat in them from harder braking. Either way, if I can get just one more track day out of them, I'll take it until I can get some dedicated track wheels.

TrackAddict app on my phone to do the lap timing and capture the meta data from an OBD2 Bluetooth dongle, GoPro camera, and then put it all together in RaceRender on my computer.

It's pretty easy, and you can get away with just the app on the phone and nothing more, but you miss out on the OBD2 data.

Another great day at the track. The G-LOC brake pads and SRF fluid prove themselves once again; my tires now give up long before I've noticed any changes in the braking.

A 1:19 still alludes me, but I managed a few 1:20s.

I just did some quick around town driving today and it's smooth. Throttle response/mapping is quicker in sport/track mode, but that's more tune related than manifold. I'll play more this week and get some logs to Lund for any fine tuning.

I'll be back at the track early next month and will leave the new tire/wheel setup at home. That way I can get some good data on how much of a difference the mani setup makes with an otherwise identical setup.
