I had my GT350 airbox installed by a shop when some other tuning was going on...they told me that they just sorta shove the whole box into the engine bay as an assembly and "it's a tight fit"
Well, I didn't have the snorkel tube that runs to the grill when they did the install, and I did not have the foam seal near the fender either.
Well, I bought those parts, along with the 350 specific PCV lines, to do this conversion the right way. I unhooked all connectors from the airbox, loosened it from the throttle body, but I couldn't get the box out of the car.
That little sheet metal bracket on the LH fender where the foam seal sits blocks the side of the airbox from coming straight out. NO amount of finesse would get it out.
Between the fender and the LH side of the engine, the thing wouldn't move far enough one way or another, so, any suggestions? Would removing the top of the airbox where it meets the underside of the hood give me a bit more wiggle room?
Thanks!!
