  1. GT 2016 GTPP; $28K; 41,XXX miles; Northern VA

Price drop to 26,500. This is just below the middle of KBB private party value. The car is pristine with over $5000 in upgrades that do not affect daily driveability at all. That was a major factor in my mods since I used it as a daily driver for a lengthy daily commute. I don't have to sell it...

  3. Gas fill up problem

What he said. It happens on almost every car I've driven since the early 2000s. Tilting the nozzle while you're filling the car allows air to escape while pumping and limit the splash back that will cut off the flow. I do this by habit now on every car I drive and when topping off.
  4. How do you make an opossum leave your engine bay?

Way to start a political argument in a car forum :headbonk:
  5. How do you make an opossum leave your engine bay?

Another possibility if you start the car and it is still hiding in the engine bay is that it dies there and you can't get it out. Then your car will smell horrible for a while. The mothball idea is good. It will probably leave at nightfall to go foraging for food. Hopefully it is just the one...
  6. STOCK AIRBOX REMOVAL?

I installed this on my GT and if I remember correctly, it didn't just drop straight in. You may have to twist/turn it as you lift it out. I think it was a pretty tight fit.
  7. NEW SYNC 3.0 Build 20204 Nav Android Auto/Apple Carplay

I had the same problems, but got it to work today by logging out, then clicking on button that I forgot my password. This leads you to a screen where you enter your email and they send you a temp password. Then I was able to log in and download the update. I think my Ford account was...
  8. Brakemotive rotors

10s of thousands have kept them on their cars. Brakemotive has been around a long time and almost all the cars I've owned and boards I've been on have had substantial use. That doesn't mean what happened with SVTDSM is okay or just a one-off fluke. It could be a bad batch (which is still...
  9. stripped strut brace bolt

Some have drilled out the stripped or broken studs and put in their own bolts. There are some other threads on this issue.
  10. How to remove 17 gt mirror caps?

It helps to have trim removal tools, but these basically just "pop" off if you pull on them with even pressure away from the mirrors. I've removed mine a couple times.
  11. Whats your favorite mod?

For manual trans - BG Syncro Shift II from Optimum Performance. Less than a hundred dollars and combined with MGW shifter to make shifting vastly better than OEM setup.
  12. Question on: Track Handling Pack (M-FR3A-M8

The difference in parts compared to original PP suspension are: Shocks, struts, springs, front sway bar, rear stabilizer bar, toe knuckle bearings. The toe links are the same as the PP. I did all my suspension modifications at the same time, so I can't comment on the Ford track package alone...
  13. 2019 Camaro refresh to compete with 2018 Mustang refresh

The grill of the SS is starting to look very Lexus and that is not a good look... in my opinion.
  14. Question on: Track Handling Pack (M-FR3A-M8

The Ford kit includes all you need for an alignment within Ford specs. It is meant to run more camber than the base coupe suspension. If you want to run the alignment specs that your car came with, you may need camber plates/bolts. If you wish to run the track suspension within the specs Ford...
  15. 10 quarts of oil??

Sounds right. I think oil capacity went up for the 2018s. My 2016 takes about 8 qts.
  16. The negatives of owning a nice car.

I know what you mean OP. About twice a year, I spend 4hrs detailing the car. Then wash it about every two weeks or so. I complained once about washing my car at work and a co-worker told me they have never washed their car, like ever. I also get actually depressed when my car is super clean and...
  17. Brakemotive rotors

I was skeptical, but after watching some YouTube videos, I believed in the physics. And it was faster for me than using a two person method or my might vac. 1. Take a container (I used a plastic jar that held about 25 oz and had a plastic screw on lid). 20 oz or bigger soda bottles are...
  18. Brakemotive rotors

I installed these on my 2016 GTPP last weekend. I got them during the Black Friday sale last year with the intent to install them this Spring. My OEM brakes had a ton of life left, but they were very noisey, dusty, and grabby. For the price, I couldn't pass on the Brakemotive brakes. These...
  19. Daily Driving the Ford Performance Track Handling Pack

OP, see my sig. No issues with daily driving and NVH. The rear diff bushings led to slightly more noise (gear whine) that could only be heard at speed less than 5 mph in parking lots - now I don't notice it at all, ever. I can't comment on any other suspension setups than my own since I haven't...
