Does anyone know the exact difference between the ‘15-‘17 steering wheel and the ‘18-current one?

As far as im aware: buttons and according cables.
Also the Airbags might have a different connection, but im not sure about that.

And according to Ford, the Leather quality is better on the 18+

The media control buttons are on the left side now instead of the right. The bottom right buttons are also have different functions now with media selection and Nav(if you have it). Because of that the wiring is different. Also the 18+ models have an option for a heated steering wheel.

Even if the plugs for switches did/do match up, the airbag mounting is different and that is why steering wheels are labeled as 15-17 or 18+.

The 18+ wheel is slightly thicker IIRC as well.

Going from a 15 to a 20 the quality is night and day. As was said, the wheel is also thicker. I haven't felt the need to replace the wheel like I did in the 15.
