I just got mine from Helm.

Version though was a little odd "2015 Service Information, November 2014 VERSION 1.0". I noticed the green CD that was selling on amazon earlier in the thread was for "2015-2016 Service Information, August 2015 VERSION 2.0".

I guess it might be worthwhile to specify the service manual for 2016 even if you have a 2015? Would Helm/Ford notify of updates?

Also, it uses very old tech, Acrobat 6 and SVG. I'd much rather have a PDF than this piece of junk that requires the CD to be in the computer to view anything.

I went here https://www.motorcraftservice.com/Purchase/ViewProduct
for $21 and 72 hours access I was able to down load and save every thing as a pdf. You also can view other ford models with in the 72 hours. If you go this route set up your save to location with folders pertaining to the sections . That will speed things up. Chrome has a print to PDF feature. The wiring section uses a flash program that I had to use Explorer on with the help of a print to PDF program that was loaded on my PC from a tax program. One thing to consider the DVD may have read issues in a few years with what ever OS. PDFs will be around for a while.
I'm looking to buy the subscription and do this PDF conversion this weekend. What program did you use for the wiring?

sorry, not sure what you did? I don't see any manual shown.
It's a PDF printer driver so you can "print" PDF files. Or you can just print in Google Chrome and it will "print"/save PDF files.

Did what ? I am not hosting them anywhere.... From the help section of the site :

Will I be able to print the information after it's purchased?
Yes.

Ironically I printed them to pdf.... No different except saving some trees. Try again dude.

No prob man. I went to check since it would somewhat hypocritical of me if terms really prohibited downloading / printing but they clearly expect people to do it.

The site is weighed towards commercial use subscriptions. Ford cares less about what is down loaded but more with commercial use renewing their subscriptions. Repair shops need only down load per whats on the lifts and a targeted area of the problems. The hobbyist is a novelty use of the site in comparison.

And let me tell you, if you plan to download the entire manual for your own personal use, be prepared. To build the structure the way it is laid out on the web site and transfer the data will take 16+ hours of manual labor. It's about 830MB worth of data. There are also several sections that give what looks like JVM errors.

There are also references and links to other documentation that won't be available after your subscription runs out. 20 bucks for 3 days is not a bad deal especially if you have more than one Ford in your house like we do.

Using the search tool to search for particular words in the folder with all the PDFs helps greatly.

I got the Helm, INC. Manual.

It does use Adobe Acrobat 5.0; it will not recognize newer Adobe versions interestingly.

For some reason, I can't find the "search" function. Let's say I want the instructions to do an oil change (something very simple). I can't find it... I know the Helm, Inc manual has it somewhere, but I can't find it.

NO CD NEEDED !!!

If you own a legitimate copy (that means you purchased one) it is possible to load the data onto your computer so that the CD is not required. The instructions how to do this are located within a file created on your computer during the install process. You do not need to go thru the hassle to mount the CD ISO version into a virtual drive, or performing any other quasi hacking type actions.

The following specifics refer to the default installation in Windows 7, meaning you accepted the default location of C:\TSO for the location at install. (If you chose something different, govern your mods accordingly.) I expect all versions of windows to work the same way, but I have not confirmed this.

Here are the steps:

1. Create a directory (folder) within C:\TSO called Helm_CD
e.g. C:\TSO\Helm_CD (If you choose to do something differently, govern your mods accordingly.)

2. Copy the contents of the CD into C:\TSO\Helm_CD (not everything is needed but this method will eliminate any errors selecting from a long list of what to copy.)

3. Now you need to tell the program (tsobrowser.exe) where to find the data it is looking for. The file tsobrowser.ini is currently telling it to go to the CD. The program initialization file (tsobrowser.ini) is located in C:\TSO Use Windows Explorer to navigate to this location, copy and paste tsobrowser.ini in the same location (e.g. C:\TSO) and you now have created tsobrowser - Copy.ini This is your backup copy should so you do something really dumb during this mod... To recover from such a huge soggy mess, delete tsobrowser.ini and then rename tsobrowser - Copy.ini as tsobrowser.ini and everything will work fine, but only off the CD.

4. Next, tsobrowser.ini needs to be modified. Double click it, and the windows can’t open it message appears. Click the bullet - Select a program from a list of programs and then click OK. Find the program called Notepad, click it then click OK. The instructions of what needs to be changed are within the tsobrowser.ini file, albeit a bit cryptic. Because these instructions exist, there is a provision to run everything legally off the hard drive. Near the top, find and modify the following (original) line:

15SFB=1~3~D:~stock\home.htm~2015 Mustang~November 2014

To:

15SFB=1~1~C:\TSO\Helm_CD~stock\home.htm~2015 Mustang~November 2014

NOTE:

Only change 3 to 1 and D: to C:\TSO\Helm_CD
Your original line may not look exactly like mine especially if you ordered it for a 2016 or another model. The instructions I was referring to earlier is in the section just below this line that you modified.

5. Now save, exit and start the Helm Manual. (tsobrowser.exe)
No CD is needed!

Hint: And it will recognize new versions of Adobe, so if you have them, don't install Adobe version 5 during the install process.

Could this in any way have information about European model?
You just look at the affected images and diagrams in a mirror. ;)
