Shifter support bracket recommendations

I was able to try around again today.
The violent vibrations at the first attempt had its cause in the too small distance between NVH damper and bracket.
Have today mounted without NVH damper, which were then the marble noises described by blowfish for 10% of the users.
With the NVH damper are again somewhat less, but I will not get rid of them completely.
So it should be official that my MT82 belongs to the 10% with marbles inside.

The counterweight is the cause of a lot of the marble sound that comes from the MT82-D4. Don’t believe me, crawl underneath your car and give it a wiggle by hand.

I removed mine and put and installed a block-off plate from Calimer Transmissions in its place. There is at least one member here that remove his with the tranny still in the car. I did mine while it was out though.

I really don’t know. When I took mine off during the tranny rebuild, I really couldn’t see how it would be of benefit at all. Calimer takes them off on all of his builds.

I'm pretty sure it was an attempt to help make shifting smoother. I couldn't tell a difference either way when mine fell off though so yeah some engineer probably felt left out.
