Hi,

I bought a pre-reg 5.0 convertible just before Christmas with < 100 miles on the clock. It's a 17 reg, i think registered in March/April 17. When would it need to be serviced? I read somewhere 2 years or 20000 miles (Sounds a lot!), might have been US site.

Thanks in advance.

Or after 500 miles initially for oil and filter. Then on to yearly / 6k miles if you plan to keep it.

For warranty purposes, what Enoch says, 1 year from date of first registration or 10k miles whichever comes first

Thanks all, I'd better get it booked in.

What sort of cost should I be expecting? Also I'm in Warrington, would the local ford garage on the a49 be ok, if anyone is from around here and knows it?

Thanks.

I’m in Warrington as well, bought mine from the TrustFord garage on the A49. Haven’t had to take it back there yet (apart from the bodyshop around the corner) it’s due it’s first service in May, let me know how it goes if you do take it there.

Gibbo praises Burns Ford in Congleton, reckons they are very good, it’s not too far from Warrington.

TrustFord Warrington want ÂŁ254 but will price match so I tried Trafford (ÂŁ248) and Burns Ford Congleton (ÂŁ245).

Anyone know any cheaper places I can price match too?

Thanks.
Rob.

Life is too short to spend time trying to negotiate a tenner discount!

Currently ÂŁ690 for the first 3 services through ford assist as long as you get it before the first service

Why use ford? find a specialist like Modurstang. At least you can drive away without worrying. Bet they will be cheaper too
A good reason is that they will extend your “Ford Assist” for another year:)

Just have to be careful following that philosophy with Ford garages.

Cheaper they are, the cheaper the service.

Apart from a very few, many Ford garages have some issues on service quality, and knowledge of Mustangs, so god only knows what a cheap one would be like.

Yes it's about best value, not cheapest!

Price matched (ÂŁ245) and booked in with Warrington Trust Ford for end of the month.

Will report back on how it goes.

Thanks all.
