I did mine a while ago. From memory it was picky about which USB to use I found an old 4Gb USB stick that it worked on. It takes about 1/2 hour with the engine on so do it when you are travelling somewhere for at least that time - everything still seemed to work (radio/satnav etc) when it was...
I had to trim a small bit of leather off as it was stopping the plastic bits clipping together. It was only about a 5mm strip and was quite obvious that it was too long.
I spoke to my insurance company (Direct Line) on Friday when I renewed and when I told them I'd had my steering wheel re-trimmed they said they were not bothered as it was purely cosmetic. Not sure ifs that the same for go-faster strips etc. though?
It was way easier that I thought I took about 2 minutes. Push the stock spring in holder into position and use a large screwdriver to push into place- easy!
I know I can't believe it, I got it and it just didn't work on my car. I test drive one of the dealers cars last week and thought my clutch was so heavy and after going back to the stock spring am well happy now. Maybe it the way it's set up??
I have a 2017 car and fitted the Steeda spring straight away. I removed the Steeda spring yesterday after having it for a month and went back to stock as it made the clutch peddle quite heavy. I must say the standard spring is way better so far, although I haven't spent a massive amount of time...
Must be some type of setup problem. I have read that you can reduce drone by changing how far the tail pipes stick out. This car was horrendous, maybe some type of resonate frequency as it was almost unbearable at 2000ish RPM. :headbonk:
Just test drive a gt with cat back Chinook just fitted - sounded superb but huge amounts of drone at 65/70 mph, almost undrivable i thought my head was going to explode. The car dealer said the same. Is this the same for you guys with it fitted or was it a one off?
Thanks KevD I am just struggling with £1300 for the cat back Chinook against £700 for a Roush axle back. From YouTube videos I cannot hear that much difference, I don't mind paying the extra if it's with it
Just received my re-trimmed steering wheel from Jack, I cannot believe the difference in quality and feel from the original. Thanks Manders for recommending
They tried that on me and I told them that I was only willing to pay the agreed price. After a bit of "I need to speak to my manager" they took the price of the bill
