Not all dealers do the Ford Assist by the way. I had my first service at Sandicliffe (East Midlands Ford Store) as needed warranty work anyway. However, afterwards I found out out that they'd stopped doing the Ford Assist. Looking on Ford's website it's only participating dealers. I think it only covers the car (rather than the driver like a normal AA/RAC cover), so if you want breakdown cover and drive other cars, it's not ideal anyway.A good reason is that they will extend your “Ford Assist” for another year![]()
Trust ford Warrington is an absolute joke! Never going back there! See my post in how was your ford experienceTrustFord Warrington want £254 but will price match so I tried Trafford (£248) and Burns Ford Congleton (£245).
Anyone know any cheaper places I can price match too?
Thanks.
Rob.
But he price matched and saved a fiver :doh:Trust ford Warrington is an absolute joke! Never going back there! See my post in how was your ford experience
That's ok that fiver can go torward the new engine I would had to buy if I didn't notice that they had reflash the ecu despite my clear instructions! LolBut he price matched and saved a fiver
Check your V5 registration document to find when registered, no point going early if you have no problems. If early your service & MOT due dates will be out of sync.Hi,
I bought a pre-reg 5.0 convertible just before Christmas with < 100 miles on the clock. It's a 17 reg, i think registered in March/April 17. When would it need to be serviced? I read somewhere 2 years or 20000 miles (Sounds a lot!), might have been US site.
Thanks in advance.
I took mine to Furrows in Telford. Was quoted £313 for 2nd year 20k service.Price matched (£245) and booked in with Warrington Trust Ford for end of the month.
Will report back on how it goes.
Thanks all.

They may have built in a brake fluid change to that first price. Standard Ford practice is 2 years for that, about 55 quid. Then forgot about it when they did the service (or realised you'd had your calipers off anyway.I took mine to Furrows in Telford. Was quoted £313 for 2nd year 20k service.
I asked if I could bring my own oil, (I can get magnatec cheap) and they said no problem.
I expected around a £70 to £80 quid saving by using my own oil... so imagine my surprise when the bill was £133:eyebulge::eyebulge:
I queried it, but they said it was correct so who am I to argue:shrug:
So total service was £133 to Furrows, and £52 for my oil... so £185 all in![]()
No necessity to drive it at all, unless their service location is somewhere else.Just had the car serviced at trust ford Warrington.
Was clean when I dropped it off but covered in crap when I picked it up so suspected been out on the road. My wife came to drop service book off as I'd forget it and she's just said now she saw them out on the road with it.
Are they meant to drive it after 1st service? Seems completely unnecessary to me and would also expect to be told if they were driving it on road. I was also sat there waiting for the car whilst they were out driving it...
Yes... good point. They certainly checked the fluid as the report said “moisture content 1%”They may have built in a brake fluid change to that first price.
