Any one got any ideas, picked up the car, came with 2 keys and only 1 works..

Did the usual, changed the batteries, still nothing?

Shows as 2 being programmed to the car but when you put it in the slot in the cup holders it says key not found, dealer can fix it in 2 weeks time due to bookings, looking to see if there is anything else can do or try in the meanwhile.

Here in the old US of A many locksmiths and/or hardware stores can do this. Not sure about Glasgow, Scotland.

2nd key isn't programmed. Even without the battery, the car should start with it in the programming slot.

Dealer will program it for free?

they need to you get 60 days for them to fix stuff, getting it up on a ramp for someone to check for other issues and to get the led around the cups sorted as thats gone, theres also the puddle lights all fuzzy looks like someones took a shit on the ground

If the dealer is programming the key for free, wait and do it through them. Otherwise reply back and I'll suggest alternatives.

Was the second key ever programed? One clue might be if the emergency key is cut or blank and, if cut, opens your car.

Thinking this, the worst part is the garage should have checked these things..

You never mentioned if the car was used or new. If used was it a private party sale or through a dealer? Also just because the car indicates that it has 2 keys programmed it doesn't mean the one you have is actually for your car. Maybe they gave you the wrong one.

Mustang GT Manual 2017 - now sold ☹
The garage you bought it from should be able to program it for you but make sure they delete all fobs from the car and re-add only the ones in hand. I had this issue and they just added a new fob rather than remove all and reprogram - which is what the manual says. Any ford dealer can do this also, pain in the wallet but it can be done.
Hope you get things sorted.

In the states any decent mobile locksmith can clear the existing fobs, reprogram the new (or current) fobs and cut the emergency keys quicker and less expensively than a dealer.
In fact the dealer I bought mine from doesn't really mess with fobs/keys. They schedule a mobile locksmith to come to the dealership when they have a need.
