Is this normal? Maybe it is just checking I am tired of going back and forth to dealers

I weigh around 150lbs and the car has 8700 miles on it now and it has been like this the last 2000miles.

It looks worse in real life

I also have this on mainly on the passenger side. Picture is from Ford GSB0000129

I have 30k on my car and my seat looks just like the first pic after driving for a little while. But it always returns to normal after sitting over night or for a day or so (I don’t drive the car every day) If it’s cold, it takes longer for it to return to shape. As for the 2nd pic, I’ve never even heard of “bearding” and I’ve certainly never seen it before. What did they say when you took it in?

I'd say that's normal for these seats. I'm 165 lbs and my seats have looked like that forever. Dealer will just say that's normal wear.

That first picture looks like a seat from a car with 100,000 miles. This is my 2018 with 5,500 miles.

I have not brought the car in yet for this I have so many other issues that I have even thought looking into this. Been at dealers for 18 different occasions now for other issues...
Yeah the bearding looks relly weird, I don't have as much as in the pick I uploaded from the GSB but it is visible.

Tnx will have a look

Here ya go for those who need it... I had posted this DIY quite some time ago for Owners of leather seats.

This is what I am "afraid" of

Mazman, I know you have had more than your share of problems with the car I and I don't want to pour salt in the wounds but your seat does not look normal. I looked at a number of used Mustangs before I bought mine and never saw any that looked like yours. I don't know if you live in a hot climate and the car sits in the sun a lot? Maybe that makes a difference? The dealer may tell you it is normal but it sure doesn't look like any that I have seen.

Thank you for the support.
The problems seem to just pile up...

I have emailed the service manager who has been handling my cases let's see what they come back with. As you say they will say it is normal.

I live in Sweden so heat is not an issue lol :D. Car is parked in the garage when not driven

Consider yourself lucky. I have looked at more of these cars than I care to think about. I had a problem with it at first but I figured if stretched leather was going to keep me from buying a car, what’s really important here? From looking online to in person, 75% of these cars (15-17 cars as I haven’t looked at the ‘18+ much) have this. Some worse than others, but I agree that it shouldn’t be the case. The leather is extremely soft and it could probably use more foam support. Unfortunately, this is a regular thing with these cars

I think the cold definitely isn’t doing you any favors. When I drive my car in the cold, the leather will stay “stretched” for a few days until it warms up a little. One 50+ degree day and they’re back to looking brand new. It won’t hurt to take it in and see what they say but I wouldn’t get my hopes up
