One thing i really like about the new rebuilt mustang is the choices in interior color. I notice Ford is offering 3% financing on the new cars, so i am wondering how well they are selling.

I did a sample build just to see the stereo and its another B&O system….

the stereo in my 22 vert is the only thing i am not happy about in my car….. did they boost the power on the new model or is it the same crappy inadequately powered stereo system?

Thats the one thing ford should have redone in the new model….

Most likely so. I wish there was an option to pick and choose exactly what you wanted instead of everything being grouped into “packages”. But I guess that’s how they make their money 🫠

OP have you messed around with the EQ settings? Friend of mine had the base 6 speaker in their car and after I played with it, it sounded decent. I have the 12 speaker audio system and absolutely love it. Totally worth the cost of the 401A package. My car is the older gen so I have the Shaker sound system and damn that system definitely shakes with the subwoofer in the booty. Definitely need to play around with the EQ settings though as the standard setting doesn't sound that great. Nothing better than blasting your favorite song with the top down on a sunny evening while you blip the throttle so the car can sing along to the song as well. 😊

Aftermarket speakers are also pretty easy to install so that might be a consideration if that is the only thing that bothers you about the car.

Don't go buy a whole new car just because of the speakers. I can't imagine Ford changed the speakers from 22 to the new gen 24 years. I'm sure it is the same B&O system. Definitely look into some aftermarket ones and you will be happy you did!!

Hi crew,
Totally agree, i had a 2017 ecoboost with a 1000 W shaker system, it was fantastic, i never once had it on full. On my 2022, i think its a 300w and its ok but not great. With the top down i find i have it on full often, and its just not that loud….
im swapping the speakers and amp, not the car!

I love the car, just with better audio will make it damned near perfect.

And if nearly all of us complain about the poor quality system in the newer model mustangs… one would think that ford would be aware of the dissatisfaction, i mean, we here cant be the only ones complaining… i loved my old shaker system!

Yeah the B&O blows big time. I have a 2015 Passat that has a louder system and that's VW stock!
btw I like some tunes loud, like AC/DC.

The reality is is that the wattage figures they quote are always lies. I'd be surprised if either of those systems can output even 100W continuous. Its probably even lower.

I just had S650 9 speaker for couple weeks. Sound decent with huge bass though doesn't have trunk sub .....relative to my sound deadened, Audison Bit 8.9 DSP, Hertz Mille speakers front stage and JL sub in Ford enclosure. Id say it's about 70% of my set up.

I had similar issues to the OP with my Bronco... even with the soft top up, the stock 6 speaker setup struggled to reach what I would call "loud-ish". I ditched the stock speakers, added a 5ch kenwood amp, some budget priced speakers (crutchfield house brand for the 4" and kenwood 2-ways for the 6.5") then added a rockford 12" prime sub and I couldn't be happier.

None of it audiophile quality, I'm never going to win any SQ or DB comps, but it's plenty loud for me, even with the top all the way back.
