Wow. Wonder what's going on. ESS removed PBD from recommemded tuner list few weeks ago..

If rob left pbd, ess would still work with pbd as they are the company. But if ess removed pbd as a whole, there may be something bigger going on...

Either something broke on the launch or he doesn't know how to drive. Since he was late on the light I figure it was a test pass.

Ken knows how to drive. It was the first pass on their twin turbo setup and Ken said in his review video posted yesterday he shouldn’t have been trying to make a full run.

PBD was originally not on the list of approved tuners. At some point late last year they were added to the list, which did not last long and around a month or so ago they were removed. You are definitely correct in saying something much bigger is going on.

They just posted a video on Youtube.

I took it as though he thinks the car itself was the cause, not driving error from loss of traction or broken parts. He believes either the abs/traction control/stability control etc tried to make changes to the car. They are sending out the "black box" from the car to get more data.

In any case, again, I think it's speculation that he had a broken axle or I've heard there was fluid on the track down the way from a previous car. Seems like no one really knows for sure.

Well he insists it wasn't his fault, and as @Cory S said, he should scrapped the run. So yeah, kinda is. Old adage " lift and race another day ". Anyways, IMO as I said previous, he hurt the diff & paid for it down the track. Any slip on either side of the rears at that speed under full power bad things will happen.

I dont think torsen differentials can slip...

In my opinion the suspension looked way too loose like no front sway bar etc. Im no expert but I dont think my car could move like that.

Correct. But a damaged spur gear/worm wheel can lead to all kinds of havoc.

I watched it again and it does kinda look like traction control shut the throttle on the launch. Maybe advance track applied brake to the right rear wheel at the big end?

Be interesting to see what the black box says.

Exceeding torque tables with respect to the DCT would be the likely bog issue.

Just spoke with shop I was going to initially use and they claim to have multiple appointments setup for Rob to remote tune in the coming week. So maybe it is just a short vacation.

What's the big deal? Ken B is a badass tuner if not better? He tuned my new edge many many moons ago that under went some mechanical overhaul that was borderline a nightmare, Ken tuned it in a rush and with one eye open. The car ran incredible and not one revision was needed. Bring Ken back and free DT I am still waiting for PB to tune my new FI car. They left me hanging like your granpas wrinkled nutsack
