KEN is.Who is the actual proprietor of PBD ?
@Wengerd Performance , this individual needs your assistanceSuper upsetting as I was about to do a G3x ESS kit and have him remote dyno tune it![]()
If anyone gets it you definitely do! I can’t even fathom what a normal business day looks like for you.. but I’m definitely glad you have some what got work/life balance figured out even thou I’m sure it’s rare. I know personally in the over year and a half you have tuned my car I only email you with in business hours so that you can have a life outside of your job even if you do love what you do!It's hard not to get burned out in this industry. It's always go go go and customers blowing up personal social medias on weekends when they want something.
I actually enjoy tuning so enjoy what I do but can easily understand why high demand tuners need a break.
We can barely have a life outside our businesss
The last thing anyone here wants, is you getting burned out good Sir. We can start a Go Fund me for your bi-annual vacation, as long as you promise to keep up the professionalism, response times, and badass tunes. It's hard not to get burned out in this industry. Do you use anyone in the Houston area for remote tuning? Hellhorse Performance in Conroe used Rob and PBD but don’t know if they’ll continue to use PBD.It's hard not to get burned out in this industry. He didn't say what I bolded. However, what he did say typically is code for "I will not be working until my non-compete is up", at which point he will likely either have his own product, or be at another firm. This allows him to have legal protection when he starts his next endeavor. Because no doubt PBD will likely come after him if he starts his next role even one day early. That’s what the post said unfortunately. Curious as to what prompted it but he says he’ll be resigned for a while.
Reality, and case law, shows this to be untrue. If tuning is his primary skill the non-compete is basically worthless.
I know someone that signed a non-compete as an electrical foreman and left and went to work for another company. They tried to sue him and lost. Most states protect primary skill from non compete.
As long as tuning is his primary skill and he was not a partner in the business, he can leave and go work for another tuner without problem. Starting his own business is a whole different story and I imagine that is the next step.
Best of wishes wherever he goes thou.
Gotta hope he didn't sign a non compete clause. He may be required to sit on the sidelines before you can if Ken had one in his employment contract.Lmao! I see him taking a nice vacation and then opening his own business. He will hand select whom he tunes for probably like some big time racers and a few select customers that he has done tunes for in the past. This will allow him to be more hands on and even fly out to tracks and dynos to do in person calibrating and not have to worry about the work load piling up when he does this.
