I was just correcting your misinformation. I really don’t care what you can do with your sct device. It’s like Mac vs PC. Each user thinks their platform is better. My opinion is SCT is hanging on to the past with these expensive and proprietary flashers trying to keep up with HPT. I bought my adapter a few years ago and have used it with many different cars only having to buy credits for each car. And most other brands tuners don’t support diablosport and SCT anymore.

You win Supreme overloard of the universe. You and Shaun had beef. Me living within driving distance with Shaun makes him a very viable option. He is very respected tuner in the coyote world with a very capable car himself.

I own my sct bdx that I paid $400 for and can run multiple cars on

except once it's married to a car, you have to unmarry it (car back to stock) to flash another car. Right? That's been my experience which is how I ended up with 4 SCT boxes.

It’s not a problem if you’ve bought enough credits to support all those cars. My adapter has like 20 credits married to it for my hellcat, ZL1 and my mustang. The hellcat needed like 8 alone. Credits are $50 a piece. But you can use the adapter at any car at any time if you have the credits. And that’s only needed to flash tune changes. You can pull stock files and do all the data logging you want without any credits.

I believe the issue is that SCT charges the tuner for each platform so it can cost them thousands of dollars per yer to maintain. The HPTuning the end user pays to license the tune and the vehicle, so it's cheaper for the guy selling tunes.

Buy the credits for the car and zap away. The same dongle works for all supported HPT cars. The dongle does not marry to the car.

Before I went with HP I checked out SCT and I did not like their terms of service, which had recently changed. The way their agreement works, unless changed, is SCT owns all tunes and they are able to shut off any flashing device at their discretion.
