Hi all
This is my second post. I finally got my 5.2 voodoo here and on my stand and getting her together. I already have a Stock ECU here as well...
My question is
I originally planned on having the PATS deleted on the ECU and running it as a stand alone as I am not using the original trans for a GT350. Recently however I have started to like the idea of having Cruise control ( standard or adaptive). So what modules would I all need to buy to allow me to keep cruise? I know there are aftermarket cruise control boxes that might work if I go the Pats delete route however the controls look like something out of a 90s truck.

Just to make it a bit harder on myself I also would like to avoid using a 2019 gauge cluster and run a original cluster ( if that plays a part)

That sounds like a lot of work...not even knowing what is being restomodded! Is this going into an S550?

I have no idea on what you need to happen, sorry.
Some more info may get someone who knows to chime in.

I love restomods so this got an automatic look from me lol!

So its going to go into a 67 Dynocorn body... wait does that make it a restomod or something else? When I got the body it already had a Heidts front end and the guy wanted to jerry rig a 03 cobra IRS which I am still on the fence about ( not the jerry rig part as Im doing this once and I am doing it right) I have a design I am working on that should bolt in using stock pick up points but I havent put it in cold hard steel yet

Cool project!

When I was browsing the Ford Performance catalog they had lots of stuff to make a Coyote work in most any chassis you'd like. Not sure if that will help with this or if they make something similar for the Voodoo.

Absent being able to pin down everything needed, a donor car would make this go a lot smoother I think.

Just spitballing though, hope it's more doable than I am fearing lol!

I’d recommend hitting the Factory 5 forums. The reason being is those members put all sorts of Coyote 5.0 and Coyote Voodoo variant swaps (plus various transmissions) into many types of FF5 kit cars. They too delete a lot of the original wiring, using various PCM’s, and sometimes modifying the PCM to their needs.

What you’re essentially wanting to do and doing is the same - a project kit (body shell) and your own drivetrain. Those guys over on FF5 have a ton of knowledge with drivetrain combos and there’s years and years of all sorts of documented drivetrain swaps.
