True, but I don't care if he scatters himself all over the highway, as long as he doesn't hurt anyone else. going 90 MPH at 1 am on an empty highway like OP, meh. Doing what this asshat did during rush hour, hitting 179 MPH multiple times... I wish a 18 wheeler would have made a "failure to signal lane change". That would have been a much more interesting video
I understand what you are saying but I don't wish bad on anyone. Should he have done it? Hell no! But I hope he is okay. No way you live at that speed. No way.

Then you are a better man than I.
I do wish bad on those doing bad. Especially when it shows that they have zero regard or respect for the lives around them. One of the reasons that criminals are so brazen these days, is because there are no repercussions for their actions. Sure, he probably got a hefty fine, had his license taken away for a while, maybe some community service. I imagine that if the penalty for such irresponsible bahavior was, say, the amputation of a foot- that would be a much greater deterrent for a repeated offense and would certainly make others think twice about doing such things.

Steal a handbag on a smash and grab outing with your homies? lose a hand
beat the crap out of a school teacher in the hallway? lose an eye
cold cock some old man in a subway? lose your tongue
Do something innapropriate with your šŸ†? Lose your šŸ†

Im running for President in 2028 by the way...

I have seen videos of the aftermath of motorcycle wrecks from people doing this. My uncle had a wreck on a CB500. Took him two years to heal right. That's why I'm careful. Make sure I Yield properly and give Right Of Way. A friend of mine dead due a driver not giving Right Of Way while he was riding his bike. Friend was going straight, driver was turning left, Boom. I don't ride motorcycles. Never got my license for one. Sometimes I wish I had one, sometimes I don't. I got my Mustang and that's fast enough and good enough.

depends if he hits anything and experiences a >>1G deceleration.

My bike can't do 179, but I had an off at over 100 on US-75. 6 lane divided with giant median, no traffic to the horizon and what traffic there was a couple miles behind. Went skipping down the highway like a stone over water. The guardian angel resigned in protest after I stopped tumbling 12 miles south of Bartlesville's regional trauma hospital. Injuries were only modest/light. It's amazing what proper MC gear can do. And aforementioned angel.

Based on how far the bike slid, the local constable wrote me a ticket for excessive speed aka over 80mph.

Yeah, riding a motorcycle is a death wish these days. The advent of the mobile phone and the distractions that come with it, make riding a motorcycle on public roads a risk beyond reasonable.

Are you really running for President or you just jacking with me? LOL I'm not a better man than you. I do get what you are saying and I agree with your assessment on stealing. If someone walks up into my yard to vandalize, steal my car or car jack me, well, I live in Texas and we have Constitutional Carry and the Castle Doctrine. I'm retired and don't believe in taking away from others. My father told me when I was young, "Son there are four rules to live by so you won't get shot." "Number One, Don't mess with another man's wife." "Number Two, don't mess with another man's car." "Number Three, don't mess with another man's house." "And Number Four, MIND YOUR BUSINESS." "Son you do these four things, there is a good chance you will never get shot or get in trouble." I'm 61 years old and I have never been shot or arrested.

I thought we all were...

I am looking forward to the Republic of Texas leading the way and seceding, and taking the rest of the South with them. I may be 15 miles outside the District of unbridled Corruption, but I'm south of the Mason-Dixon so as long as we can vote Fairfax, Loudon, and Prince-William out of the Commonwealth, we're ready to roll.

:)

The fact that you question this, tells me I have a chance. lol I'd never win, my opinions and point of view are way too cut and dry, simple, to the point, and final. The woke, liberal, soft, "run the country like a charity" folks would never vote for me. So, I'll just have to keep fighting the good fight, keyboard warrior to the rescue.

Well, I'm simple and to the point too. How can I put this, I don't like the things that are going on too. What they are teaching in schools. How they are doing...Story Book hour at the local libraries. Kids in strip bars. I really have to be careful. You get what I mean. Leave the bedroom, in the bedroom. Yeah, you got my vote if you run. SHEEPDOG FOR 2028!

I probably would have chosen Mischevious Purple if it were available, but these Mach1's , with Handling pack, and manual transmission are kind of hard to find around here.

The Royal Crimson offered only in 2018 might be the best color ever.

Very nice car you have. I have Mustang GT 5.0 with Recaro racing seats, six speed manual and 3.55 rear end. Pictures are on introduction thread. It's same color as yours just not a Mach 1. I wish it was a Mach 1 but I'm happy with it. Basically same horsepower. I do wish I had the suspension and brakes. I got mine used. Did not get the Premium. Still a awesome car. I can only imagine what the GT350 and GT500 are like. Way out of my price range.

Yeah, but if he would have hit one of the vehicles he would have been toast. If one of the cars would have swerved in front of him just a little he would have been gone. My cousin had a bored out CB750 with smooth bore carbs. I was on the back at 13 or 14 years old. We were doing 130 on I 35 FREEWAY in Fort Worth Texas. My uncle, his father, pulled up beside of us on GL1000 and tooted his horn smiling. I was a little afraid. Speed limit was 55, of course. Charlie said, "HANG ON JUNIOR!" And away we went. My uncle Charles rebuilt engines and cars out of his garage. He built a guy a 350 V8 Vega to drag race. The guy told me, "I'll bring my baby next weekend for you to see." Next weekend I got to ride in Ferrari GTB308. 140 going down I-35. The sound of those downdraft carbs and V12 was awesome. I was smiling the whole time. Ferrari is my dream car. However, I do love my Quad overhead cam Mustang.

I wish we would secede. My mother's and father's family both fought for independence. I'm a texan through and through. Born in Temple, raised in Dallas Oak Cliff. Moved to San Angelo when I was 14. My mother's family built Fort Concho here. Mother's grandmother was a member of the Daughters of the Pioneers. I come from a long line of fighting Texans. LOL I'm proud of my country, The Republic Of Texas.
