I commend you for living in a town where everyone is Saintly and no one pisses in the wind.
Reductive much? When did I claim crime doesn't exist? You've done nothing to prove your point valid.

EDIT: Also please learn to use the edit button, man. I almost missed your entire, latest, incoherent rant... which of course was inspired by Fox News 🤦‍♂️.

No state, blue or red, is "handing out" drivers licenses to anyone that doesn't pass driving tests, citizen or not. Please, for your own sake, fact check anything you hear on the news or the internet that enrages you. Some states are likely trying to make it easier to get IDs, though.

And yes, some forms of crime are up. So is ice cream consumption. OMG EATING ICE CREAM TURNS YOU INTO A FELON

I don't have to prove nothing. Just like anyone else making comments on here. Anyone on the Internet and claim anything. You, me, any other individual. I could have said I lived in California for that matter. When it comes to the internet, no one can really prove anything. I have been using the edit button. I'm doing more things than just arguing with people who can't prove anything more than I can. Attack me for saying nothing more than what is being said on TV and news sites already. I get my news just like everyone else. No one can prove anything no matter where it comes from. Even the Government cannot prove anything. Proof? Some cannot even tell anyone what a man is or a woman is anymore. LOL I'm out. Peace out.

It's one thing to make things up about yourself, but it's a whole 'nuther thing to make up nonsense about immigrants getting fake licenses and crashing into everyone. In either case, though, it is possible to show some evidence of your claims. There would certainly be news reports, probably with real data, about immigrant drivers causing accidents and high insurance premiums, if it was a real, systemic problem.

Protip: Stop watching Faux News.

I don't watch Fox News that much. Most of the time I talk to people on forms just like this one. Immigrants getting licenses and running into everyone. LOL No they are CARJACKING, raping and murdering. Look, you like immigrants I get it. There are more things going on than ANYONE is reporting. Proving? Well, CNN, ABC, MSNBC there is not proof there either. I drove to El Paso myself to see if some of what was being said was true. Videos are all over the Net from people on the border. Stories all over of carjackings, rapes and murders being up. Like I said, the guy in Virginia speeding is the least of our problems at this point. I was just saying I have witnessed and have heard about things far worse than speeding. If speeding was the least of our problems no one would having conversations like this in the first place. Just having this conversation tells me we have MAJOR problems. I'm sure both of us can a test that things are getting out of hand.
Me bashing you, you bashing me, and everyone here bashing or attacking anyone solves NOTHING. It does get out a little frustration however. This is exactly playing into the Narrative. Keep people divided, keep people in the dark about everything that is going on. This is the reason for all the craziness in the first place. Politician mind set, "Treat people like mushrooms."

Hah, I thought you were done?

I neither "like" nor dislike immigrants more than anyone else. I simply recognize that people are people, and being from somewhere else doesn't inherently make them better or worse than you and me. I also recognize the importance of facts and data when evaluating trends and problems, as opposed to anecdotal reports from someone on the internet.

News stories about a carjacking or murder here and there is not data, nor are your stories about some dude you met from Virginia. Data means a statistically relevant sampling of things that are actually happening at scale in the real world. THAT would be evidence of your claims.

I heard IDs and have heard licenses. In the grand scheme of things, with all the mental illness going on, I don't put nothing past anyone in Government or anywhere else anymore.

Here I have your proof. Read this from the National Conference Of State Legislators https://www.ncsl.org/immigration/states-offering-drivers-licenses-to-immigrants

I retired from the State Of Texas, Public Service, in 2018 after 31 years. During my stay in Public Service I got to know and be friends with people in Government. I retired when I found out what was coming. I walked out with my pension, health insurance and my life insurance. I got the opportunity to buy a 2023 Mustang GT and I took it. I decided to enjoy the last of my years as much as possible.

This one right here is really nice New Jersey A4743 2019 Effective date June 1 2020 :

This law creates a standard driver's license or identification that does not require proof of lawful presence. The law prohibits the motor vehicle commission from disclosing information to any federal, state or local law enforcement agency for immigration purposes without the consent of the individual, a warrant, court order or subpoena, unless such restriction is contrary to federal law. The commission may not retain copies of documents submitted to establish eligibility for a license or identification card.

Because the posted speed limits aren’t based on traffic flow or time of day. It’s really pretty simple to understand.
On the other hand, there are places like Hawaii where a 4-lane divided highway with very few traffic light intersections or entry points to the highway has a speed limit of 35 mph (everyone pretty much drives at 45+ there). Yet a similar highway where we now live has a 60 mph limit despite having traffic lights on it.

If you want to speed, take it to the track. Period.

I honestly never want to speed on a public road, drivers are absolute idiots nowadays and I don’t want my car involved in an accident.
I would never speed excessively on a highway with decent traffic on it, though I do see the OP's point in some areas where there's absolutely no one (other than LEOs) on the highway and it's a long, straight stretch like heading north from Vegas to Reno and other places I've heard about in Wyoming and Montana. As for tracks, not everyone lives near one and not many tracks have a straight, long 5+ mile straightaway either or even 1/4 mile tracks.

None of this indicates anything about not requiring these people to pass driving tests... They're just permitting non-citizens to legally acquire a driver's license, but that doesn't mean they don't still have to prove themselves as much as anyone else behind the wheel before they get one. Also, this still does not include any data about immigrants causing accidents. So I still see no evidence that an immigrant would be a worse driver than a 61-year-old citizen.
