After deligating it with a Redline Tech, we landed on RL 75w140 Gear Oil. (Not the NS) no need for Ford's additive on my Torsen diff. The car has seen several 20 Mins sessions and lots of high speed highway driving, 5000 miles on it and oil looked great as I changed it. Not saying this will work on ALL diffs, but certainly on the Torsen units

Guys,

Reporting from Roadatlanta at the MVP track time event. Changed the factory oil with BG ULTRA-GUARD LS 75w90 after cooking my factory oil in the second lap of my first track day with this car. Came today exited and went out at 9am 85 F with traction control and advance track off. The car felt good did a 1:44 right away with traffic but on my 10th got the warning again... I'm so pissed.
Got off and cooled down the car and went back at 11am 95 F and could only managed 6 laps. So I gues for the afternoon at 100F would probably only get 3 laps per session:(.

I guess for my next one will do a 75w110 or 140. My car is still stock on stock pirellis.

Do you have any power mods on your car? I ran 3 days at Road Atlanta at the start of June and never got the warning. I switched to amsoil 75w110 after I got the warning at COTA in Febraury. At the end of the weekend at Road Atlanta, I went out multiple times as I ran the last time trial session, then took a friend out, and then my student. I fully expected to get the warning, but didnt. I was running 1:39's with Hoosier R7's. All stock engine.

No Mods, stock exhaust, intake, brake pads and fluid. The only thing in the car that is not Stock mod is the diff fluid

I've been running royal purple 75/140 for around 10,000 miles and haven't had an issue. I used to change every 3 track weekends but it looked new. Now I change everything when the car says 50% oil life. I figured that's around 3000 miles?

That is a bummer. Is the car a performance package with a 3.73?
Yes is a 2016 GT Premium with PP. what really pisses me is that they guys here with the 2015 don't even know about it with the same Diff because they don't have the sensor.

Just a thought.... Is there a way to bypass the sensor or "fool it" when doing track events? This would keep you out of limp mode. The 2015 models don't seem to suffering differential issues as long as you change the fluid after the events, so why would if effect the 2016 any differently?

It doesn't go into limp mode. Is just the annoying warning and of course I don't want to cook my oil.

Maybe I should start stocking 75W140. Hate to know what I did to mine last season on the stock stuff. No light to light.

Final report for the day. In the afternoon weather was 102 F and was able to get 7 laps ( 12 mins )each session before warning came on. With the factory oil I was only able to do 2 laps before getting the warning so the BG ultra Guard LS was definitely a slight improvement but for sure will jump to 140 for the next track day.
