The harness was replaced 3/1/2021 after that there has been several issues until 9/2024. I have had my car now going on 5 yrs I do not and have not had the tranny leak issue, nor the actuator for the damper on the exhaust, or any of the other problems listed from 6/1/2021 until 9/2024, the only reason why there isnt any issues is cause the car is not in anyone's hand. Why do you think that?
The major stuff was due to the wiring harness, most of the rest is just stuff as a result of the harness. These cars are 100% dependent on all the modules communicating reliably with each other. Once thre is a comm problem, all kinds of stuff doesn't work and causes subsequent failures.
We all know about the transmission line leaks, the exhaust actuator problems, etc. This could happen to anyone's car.
Point is that it has all been gone over. If you buy the car for a song, I wouldn't have any problem with it. As long as the buyer understands that it will forever have the stigma of a buyback attached to it.
As for the buyback issue, if the person is buying it because they want one and not looking for future value, then the buyback means nothing, it only holds true if he's looking to drive it for a year and then hope it holds its value to flip. My concern is the list of issues, again you look at it the issues were due to the harness, I don't, I look at this particular car as a money pit, and to me a "song price" would be 30-40K not 60K. And if you are the type that has the time to tinker to fix things that crop up, then great, but if your like most of us that want to drive it and have it on the road more than on a lift fixing it its not going to bode well.
But again, thats my take and opinion.
