Why do you think that?

The major stuff was due to the wiring harness, most of the rest is just stuff as a result of the harness. These cars are 100% dependent on all the modules communicating reliably with each other. Once thre is a comm problem, all kinds of stuff doesn't work and causes subsequent failures.

We all know about the transmission line leaks, the exhaust actuator problems, etc. This could happen to anyone's car.

Point is that it has all been gone over. If you buy the car for a song, I wouldn't have any problem with it. As long as the buyer understands that it will forever have the stigma of a buyback attached to it.
The harness was replaced 3/1/2021 after that there has been several issues until 9/2024. I have had my car now going on 5 yrs I do not and have not had the tranny leak issue, nor the actuator for the damper on the exhaust, or any of the other problems listed from 6/1/2021 until 9/2024, the only reason why there isnt any issues is cause the car is not in anyone's hand.

As for the buyback issue, if the person is buying it because they want one and not looking for future value, then the buyback means nothing, it only holds true if he's looking to drive it for a year and then hope it holds its value to flip. My concern is the list of issues, again you look at it the issues were due to the harness, I don't, I look at this particular car as a money pit, and to me a "song price" would be 30-40K not 60K. And if you are the type that has the time to tinker to fix things that crop up, then great, but if your like most of us that want to drive it and have it on the road more than on a lift fixing it its not going to bode well.

But again, thats my take and opinion.

I think the trans leak was common enough to get itself awarded with a TSB ?

And the actuator ? Across the forums it almost seems like there is a new thread started on a weekly basis … lol

* Yes, I know I own a GT, but the actuator positions and orientation are near identical when compared to a 500 *

Now that’s out of the way, it’s very easy to see why the right side actuator loom is a potential / common problem.

And also very topical, as I gave my tips a spring clean yesterday and snapped these photos :

This is an older photo I took showing the problem area from a different angle :

The above photo was taken after I had shortened the exhaust / increased the clearance to the frame by 16mm.

Bad fabrication tolerance + bad assembly tolerance + heat expansion + exhaust movement = damaged loom = exhaust mode selection message :frown:

It seems common across the GT’s, M1’s and 500’s. Not that I spend much time in the 350 forum, but I think the differences in 350 actuator type and positioning mostly makes them immune ?

Mid 60’s with an extended warranty. It’ll sell, just a matter of time. Salvage 500’s bring mid 40’s pretty much trashed. Most don’t even make it to auction, the shop’s pick them up most of the time direct from the customer after being declared totalled after a basic tear down and inspection. Great way to buy a car if you have a shop.
To your point. This one got wrecked, sold for $37k, rebuilt, then listed for $69k with a rebuilt/salvage title and it sold shortly after. It's not longer available.

The prices. The ones I have been watching have come down quite a bit and now this one just listed at 88k. Seems more reasonable than just a few weeks ago. Almost there. I think I'll bite mid to low 80s for a 22.

I offered them 85k and they said no. They had 4 people come within the first few days and test drive it but no buyers yet. The interest has them holding out for more.

Guy who traded it in apparently said he was tired of people trying to race him all the time throughout town. So he traded it in on a final edition charger 392 🤔. He drove from Nebraska to Wisconsin for the trade.

Now that’s an interesting trade choice. I can’t imagine the buyers remorse a short time later. Not knocking the charger but no arguing that was a major step down.

My experience is completely different lmao. Sure people wanna see me floor it, but very few try to race, especially Hellcats and ZL1s... they seem scared (rightly so).

What a downgrade. I'd assume dude just couldn't afford the car.
