I don’t think it is an issue. It’s just a cool
Mod. BUT…after putting it in my S197, I noticed two thing right away; much more stable, easier maintained temps at the lower end (it doesn’t run any cooler, but it sure stays there a lot easier, if that makes sense), and noticeably decreased under hood temps in general. Will those repeat on this thing?? We bout to find out.
Reducing underhood temps is also a bonus. I seem to be having the starting issues when underhood temps are baking.

2 tips for potential Mishimoto customers -

1) Mishimoto radiators come with a Lifetime Warranty to the original purchaser. Once you receive the radiator, register it on their site.

2) Search Mishimoto on Amazon, they have an Amazon store. Search using the exact Mishimoto Radiator part number. If you have any Amazon discounts or "perks" or qualify for any, those can be applied. Plus free shipping. I purchased my Mishimoto for my 94 Cobra about 5 Mos ago on Amazon and my total OTD price was far less than any Mustang vendor found online.
Okay, we will consider that when we start modding the new Mustang project. Got to finish installing the rotors and fuel wheels on the truck this weekend before we can clear the garage.

Come up to a mile high in elevation and north of a 100 in the summer. Aftermarket radiators are NOT eye candy. Wether in a car or trucks you work, an insufficient radiator will kill the motor, plain and simple.
Yup. This is why I upgraded mine

Zero change. But…I’d really like to have a coolant temp gauge and done a before and after on that.

The one thing I did notice was this however; when it warms up to the fan kick-on temp (seems like around 219°cht), my fan never turn on high. It only seems to turn on low, and once on, the temps drop like a rock.

That’s still something. Thanks for the info. I’m very curious as to what those temp differences before and after regarding intense track use using the Mishimoto radiator would be.

I have a base GT that I initially replaced the tiny stock unit with a Mishimoto until it developed a leak less than a year in. Thankfully I was able to get it replaced under warranty pretty easily, but ended up selling it and going with a stock PP/GT350 rad.

I say that because I noticed 0 difference in temps between the two on the street and track (20 minute sessions). If anything I think the 350 rad actually works a little bit better.

If you're looking for better heat control on track, look for a way to 1) box in the radiator and 2) vent the hot air out through some sort of hood vent or louvers. This will make the biggest impact on your temps.
