I have a 2015 mustang gt that I recently installed a 2018 manifold kit from VMP and behind the manifold I think we pulled a wire. I'm not sure where this is from or what it leads to but in other videos online I see it going behind the engine somewhere. I've checked connections on the manifold and they are all connected and none are missing. Can I fix this myself? Can I drive on it?

Not sure on the mustang, but I know many cars use a single wire for oil the pressure switch. I have also seen single wire plugs for the reverse light switch on manual transmissions.

Turn on your accessory mode and see if the CHT temp is zero.

Or could be infinity. Might be just a bunch of dashes -------

It looks like it might be! I'll double check in a bit but if it is, is it safe to drive ?

I'd imagine the car will be in limp mode at best

What is that? I drove it home from work on Friday and it seemed fine for the most part but it did feel different. I just want to make sure I can to to work without it messing up my car until I can fix it myself

The ecu uses CHT for many processes. It will run for awhile then either trigger a wrench or MIL light. I think it will be a wrench. If I get a bit of time I'll look at a tune and see what it triggers.

You'd know immediately if you were in limp mode, it is the speed/rpm/gear limited. If you aren't in limp mode then I doubt that is CHT sensor, unless it's reading ambient

Does it show CHT temp in the dash cluster? If it does I'm wrong and it is something else. If it runs it is not the crank sensor.

Without the ignition on ( it's dark and car is loud) it reads 80 degrees, the same as the other temperatures. It doesn't give a 0 or anything

Here's a picture in a video of where it actually is. I suspect it's the very top wire that seems to go behind the engine somewhere

When you start it up does the temp rise? If so it is not the CHT wire.
